It was boring and I'd gone thorugh most of the faction quest lines before on previous occasions, so I wanted to go do Dawnguard. It'd be fun, hopefully there's a small little nook of a change in the way Isran, that vampireaphobic Sociopath would react to me! Maybe the minute I enter Fort Dawnguard that one Orc will sniff out my sparkliness and try to [censored] kill me.
This was not the case, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. The Orc had no idea of my condition, maybe he was busy shooting with the crossbow and couldn't see or smell my flesh burning in the sunlight. I went past him to the Celann guy, he's been with Isran for a while! Not a clue in his mind either.
But here's Isran, the guy who foams at the mouth about how vampires must die, was fully capable of knowing what Serana, the token sixy vampire chick, was. He has no clue either, to him I'm just another recruit. I was flabbergasted at this. shocked, almost. I asked him about the state of the fort, and he said they need some time to repair the fort in case of a vampire attack, and he says straight to my charred, red-eyed face, that they are in such a bad state that a vampire could just walk in.
Like me, for example. I wanted to tear him to pieces. Summon my skeletons and have a gangbang. set his shiny bald head on fire. I knew I wouldn't be able to, so many characters are essential after all.
Needless to say I loaded to my third autosave, putting me right back at the start of dayspring canyon, where I could ignore that [censored]. Meanwhile in the Mojave Chomps Lewis recognizes the very direction I come from when I meet him in Sloan. It doesn't do anything other than make sense.
