The Ebony Warrior Easter Egg? (Possibility) : V

Do you guys remember Gaenor from Morrowind? The Bosmer that had a full suit of Ebony armor and was a complete boss? Yeah when I discovered this quest today I immediately thought of Gaenor and how much of a pain he was to beat on Morrowind. The fight was also very similar... which is near impossible. I think Bethesda put this in the game as an Easter Egg for those of us that played Morrowind.

But this is just my theory on this... tell me what you guys think.

funny think about the ebony warrior i went in expecting an awesome fight to be drawn out forever and using potions like mad, turned out (i was on adept) he got a couple good hits but i FUS RO DAH him and he died instantly... i was dissapointed :/

You are level 81 on Adept; what did you think was going to happen?

I'm just sad that I couldn't bring him back as a Dead Thrall. That was disappointing.

But I never played anything before Skyrim, but I have done a lot of research into past games, and think that it'd be cool if the Ebony Warrior was from a past game.

Yes. He did reminded me of Gaenor a bit.

could be a error somewhere or glitch .. but hes deff not immune to it

On two of my characters Fus Ro Dah worked just fine on him...on another, not so much. Seems to be a glitch, possibly with Dragonborn.

Given that he's wearing all ebony armor, with an ebony sword and seems to be a Redguard, there's a good chance that - in addition to being a representation of the player and a shout out to Gaenor - the Ebony Warrior might be a reference to the Black Knight, Ebonarm, a Tamrielic god of warriors with an ebony sword fused to his right arm and who belongs to the Redguard pantheon. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Ebonarm Thoughts?

He looked like a dark nord to me...considering they only go to sovngarde..but then again his voice was more of redguard..idk

Eh... I might try it again.

I do know that the Ancient Dragonborns Fus Ro Dah works but it seems to reset the Ebony Warriors health somehow everytime he spawns.

Could be that, too, makes more sense. I'm on PC, so I'm going off of people's let's play videos and it's hard to tell.
