The end of a small window

Post » Tue Nov 12, 2013 7:00 pm

There comes a point in game development when progress has almost reached its goal and the mold that is elder scrolls online forms. right now, we can suggest and give opinions over ideas, objects and things we'd like to see in the game. however, soon, perhaps give or take a few months, this window of opportunity will cease to exist. what i mean is that when the game comes closer to launch, the odds of adding new revolutionary ideas or even the smallest feature grow more and more slim. in the past there have been some ideas suggested that in time were eventually added into the game, ZOS and Bethesda listened to our voice. but once the game is closer to completion, our effectiveness on the games outcome will grow slim.

perhaps i am not wording this all correctly, i really hope you guys/girls/transvestites can understand exsactly what im trying to convey. all i am trying to get at is that NOW is the time to suggest and give ideas. the closer we get to launch the more final the game becomes. yes they could add things onto the game or take away with a simple update or patch; but what im getting at is the initial game release. in conclusion, i hope everyone gets a chance to add to the table that is TESO. can not wait for this game.

Actually I'd wager the time to suggest or implement anything new at all is about over like already lol

That time has been over for a long time now IMO. The game has been in development for like 6+ years already.

So small tweaks and updates to already existing features, sure. New features and mechanics, not likely.

I'd agree, within reason.

This^^^^ I think Firor said the game was pretty much done, a awhile back, it was all polish and tweaking some new things here and there.

But don't rule out new and exciting things in expansions of the game, a good mmo will always grow, and add new features and even updated mechanics after the game launches, not in at launch does not mean it may never make it in game. Depends on how much the dev's vision and the players feedback mesh..:)

You're a couple months too late (alongside many others) about offering suggestions, the games has already been basically stated to be done and just needs some tweaks here in there and adding a couple more last minute things they had planned.

But they are still listening and taking suggestions about post-launch material.

Interesting. As Mr. The Konk has stated they still are. And during my many communications with them they say they still are. Any they incorperate will just be in the DLC/patches

Yup.

However I'd say that at this particular moment in time, it's not exactly the best time for suggestions but rather feedback on news. I think the time for suggestions that would be best would be after release, when they start planning for the next expansion.

They are already planning. Since they promise to shoot it out on a regular basis.

That is the thing about MMO's that make them different then other games though, they never stop being developed because pretty much weekly new updates and patches are added. So there would be no time even after release where the ideas from fans should cease to be posted because anything is possible with the continuous development of the MMO.
