I bet you want to know a bit about our group and how we work, eh? Luckily for you, I'm in a good mood. All the time!

We'll start off with saying that this guild really does have something for just about every playstyle.
We are planning on being a rather small guild of close knit friends. I'm going to employ a hard cap of 75 members, so this won't be a guild where we accept just anybody once the game comes out.
We play PvE, questing, raids and small scale PvP, but it get a little bit complicated in a minute, so stay with me. The ranking system we are employing is what sets us apart, and allows us to cater to the needs of the casual, couple times a week players to the hardcoe, all day, every day players.
Ranking
The ranking system. I'll explain the simple way, and under each area, I'll provide a more in depth explanation in spoiler form.
It will essentially be broken down into 3 parts:
1. The Ranked Officers
2. The Squads
3. The Roster
To begin with, these are the
Guildmaster - Self explanatory. Controls the final vote on all clan decisions. Can veto promotions, sponsors early promotions. Basically, all the powers.
Captain - Second in command, in absence of Guildmaster. Is in charge of PVP. Presides over Lieutenants. Works with the GuildMaster and Staff Captain to make clanwide rules and decisions.
Staff Captain - Third in command. In charge of in-guild disputes, complaints, and promotion requests. Works with the GuildMaster and Captain to make clanwide rules and decisions.
Loremaster/Master Explorer - Sets up raids, discovers quests, helps plan and execute boss-fights. Has direct control over Explorers. Updates the site/forum with new, significant information.
Lieutenant - Helps build and lead squads, and plans and executes difficult PVE raids. Is expected to be skilled, fair, and occasionally participate in PVP. Can sponsor members for promotion. Expected to be the most active members of the clan. When Captain or StaffCaptain position is open, Lieutenants will vote amongst themselves to fill the position.
Explorers - Explores the world, accompanies squads to help with quests on (reasonable) request. Is expected to play SOLO usually, and fill a wide range of roles. Reports significant discoveries to Loremaster/Master Explorer.
Recruiters - Spends time in towns networking, finding things in the market other people request in the clan, acting as middle men in trades and recruitment. Proficient craftsmen (smithing/alchemy/enchanting) and tradesmen. Potential roleplayer's position.
Veteran (Squad*)Member - Automatically gained on reaching level 20. Highest rank a casual player can achieve. Special designation* for highly active members.
(Squad*)Member - Automatically gained on level 10. Special designation* reserved for highly active players.
Recruit - New member.
1) Ranked Officers.
These are the positions of authority. More information on these will be posted on the website.
2) The Squads.
Designated groups of members that choose to play together when called upon. Led by a Lieutenant, these groups will be anywhere from 4 to 7 members. The number and members in each squad is chosen by the leader and squadmembers, as they will be most aware of their needs. Certain ranks, such as Explorers and Recruiters, are considered attache members, not permanently attached to a single squad and available for filling in with miscelaneous roles.
Example;
Squad leader
Veteran Member

Explorer
Squads will be broken down into two distinct sections; Specialties and Tiers.
The Specialty is exactly as named. A way designation of which playstyle a squadmate brings to the table, quickly and easily.
The Tier is similar. It is a tier given to the member in a squad. These tiers will be awarded in a "grade" manner, so Grade I will be the lowest, Grade II will be a step above, etc.
This way, without having to talk to a squad member, you can decipher exactly what his or her position would be, and where you can place them.
3) The Roster.
This is the section for the casual members. No predetermined groups or activities. Ranks will be simplified into Veterans, Members, and Recruits.
Everybody begins on the roster, regardless of how you want to play. Members on the roster are considered free agents. They won't be tied down to a specific group, which means they can do mostly whatever he or she wants. Upon reaching a certain level, the player will be given a choice; Stay on the roster, or join a squad. This choice is not permanent.
There are perks to both. The roster allows for more freedom to do what you want for a more casual gaming experience. A more traditional, single player RPG style. Being in a squad offers more camaraderie and teamwork, being able to trust and rely on teamates in tough situations. The traditional MMORPG style.
Explorers and Recruiters are exceptions. Both are consider higher ranks, but neither are required to be on squads. Those offer services in other ways, and are considered to be solo, potential roleplaying positions.
Roster members and squad members, as well as ranked officers WILL be able to play with each other. We're aware this is a game, and won't be hyperstrict. There will be down time to chill with everyone.
