My only 'criteria' about the cover is that it looks better than the Oblivion-cover. That was not too impressing, imo. I found it to be quite boring.

You could read the thread The mag is shipped on the 6th. So subscribers will get it within a week of that date, and stores within then, or slightly later. So the release coincides with the cover reveal, but it'll be at least a day before anyone has it.

So most people think that around 8am CST time the cover will apear on the Gameinformer website. This was the case for the january edition.
After that there might be a website update from Bethesda. The very first people will probably get the magazine in the beginning of next week or this weekend.

@ El joe You are falsely party pooping. Issues of magazines come out a month ahead. The February issue of Game Informer will be in the hands of subscribers as early as the 8th. Two days from now. And somewhere around the 14th for in shops to purchase for people who don't subscribe.

It's off topic but I can't understand how more magazines aren't moving over to digital these days. In my younger days of buying the official Nintendo Magazine to get my fix there were no internets. Quite how any of them stay in business with the world wide web at your fingertips remains a mystery to me.

Yep, from what i read earlier, the magazine is being sent out to subscribers already today or tomorrow.
