The final word on SIZE

Well, someone said solstheim was about the size of the reach

There was a lot of heathed discussion about morrowind versus Skyrim size comparison

here is one of many videos showing morrowind seen from above, fog-less

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEdD-suPB48

As you can see, if you go to Skyrim, just on the mountain range above Darkwater crossing, from where you can see all of eastmarsh
I encourage you to compare what you see of eastmarsh with what you see in that youtube video of morrowind

All of a sudden, Vardenfell doesn't look so big anymore :twirl:
And Bloodmoon Solstheim was 1/10th of Vardenfell in area (1/3rd in width)

Well, folks, it's normal, it's been 10 years, computer are about 8x more more powerfull
In fact I'm surprised Skyrim doesn't totally dwarf morrowind at this point

But we do start at maximum speed in Skyrim, as if our speed and athletics were already maxed out
So that give the illusion that Skyrim may be smaller than Morrowind
Then there is the house count in cities, but there too there is an issue, as most Balmora houses were one-room
While the average solitude house got basemant, second floor, and plenty of rooms
And those are average joe's houses :D

That said I'm impressed someone bothered to remove the fog and all that,
and it's painfull that with the fog removed, the illusion of a volcano is destroyed ...
well, maybe the fog was better after all. :tops:

I look forward to seeing the new Solstheim :bunny:
