The first day you play? Your plans?

Post » Mon Jun 17, 2013 4:24 pm

I was just sitting and thinking about that first time i start up ESO and play it. How awesome is it gonna be!

What is your gameplan for that day. Whats the first thing your gonna do once your free to explore? Will you download it and play right then or bring it home from gamestop and pop it into your new console? For spme reason i cant wait for that one moment, that very first moment i just say WOW. It happens with every elder scrolls game. Also i love the first time you play for hours on end and you hardly get going to work and all you think about is what your gonna do next when you get home. What i like about this game is i feel like when you stop youll feel the world doesnt stop, like its alive and keeps going without you.

My night will go like this. I will take it at a very slow pace and then i will mainly focus on the combat and see what type of build i want to play with. I have an idea now but that can all change when i first play. Once i get that taken care of(probably take weeks lol) i will explore and enter houses im not supposed to be in or maybe i will kill a chicken to see what happens. I cant wait!

What I plan on doing the first day? Sit there looking at my screen because the game is going to be crashing all day long, and will have extensive maintenance on it to fix the problem all day. You know, the basic thing you do on the release day of a new MMO.

I'll spend the entire first two days creating a character..first day for a prototype and the next day tweaking and making sure it is suitable. I'll scrap at least 20 characters before I find the perfect fit like I do in many games to make sure my character isn't half baked..then after that I'll be in a haze for the rest of my playtime

Yep, pretty much this. Two to three hours messing around in the creator, making several characters basically just to get the names I want, and that's pretty much all my gaming time per day unless it happens to come out on a Sunday.

Day two is when I might actually accomplish something, and even most of that day will be fixing whatever mistake I inevitably made in creation. I can hear myself now, "Ah hell, she's supposed to have a scar and red hair! Eh, reroll, she's only level 3, never mind that even that took two hours because I was looking at scenery...".

Probably the same, as no MMO launch I've ever played has gone without a hitch.

True. Look at the glass half empty do we. Being serious i hope not. Ill be on console and ill be honest after the intial shocn at e3 of eso coming to consoles i could not help but to think there will be a bunch of problems for quite a while. If they said it was going to be on ps3 and xbox360 i wouldnt even touch it but since its next gen and ive heard so many devs say how nice it is working on these systems im a little hopeful.

About three hours before launch I will infuse my body with Red Bull and after launch sit at my computer for the next ten hours creating my character and hitting the great outdoors of my new existence.

This.

Other than that, it will depend on how I feel about this game closer to launch. Games I have much anticipations for I request release day off work and depending on the game maybe a few days off.

Well, not quite two days but likely to be in a similar scenario.

I am not putting hours and hours into a character concept I don't like. Problem is I tend to be whimsical with my preferences for character design, so hopefully there is somewhere you can do minor adjustments like hairstyles, piercings, tattoos and the like. Not facial structure and body size though. That should be set in stone once you start imo.

There will more than likely be some sort of changing option. Whether it is some in game item or service, or a cash shop service remains to be seen. My guess is that you will be able to go as far as changing six though if its a cash shop item much like GW2(you could receive it through other means via the game just really rare drop).
