Experiment with r_skipGlare 1 and/or r_skipEmissiveGlare 1 in a .cfg file. This will have some effect on other scenes too, but it should get rid of the overall excess.

I have this problem now, since "upgrading" to the official AMD 11.10 drivers. Prior to that I'd never seen it before anywhere other than in screenshots. It's annoying, but then I've become quite used to being annoyed when playing this game. I'm going to finish it out of sheer spite, even if it takes me until Christmas. Then it's uninstalled and gone forever.

Thanks for info but i tried that before , r_skupEmissiveGlare 1 does absolutely nothing in regards of the glare , While r_skipGlare 1 tones the Glares down alot , But they are still there and they are still blinding and annoying.

Anywayz , Why is there no communication whatsoever on when fixes are coming? i mean ATI did their part with releasing like 4 drivers till now.. what da [censored] has id done rather than sitting on their asses doing nothin .. The amount of RAGE thats in me after not being able to play the game even after a freakin month is huge .. So excuse the filthy words.

Don't assume that id are doing nothing. A lack of communication can be worrying for sure, but it definitely doesn't indicate that there is nothing happening. Their post-release support has always been excellent (far more so than most other game studios) and there is no reason whatsoever to suspect that has changed. When there is something to say I have no doubt that they will say it, but solving a problem first of all involves finding out exactly what's causing that problem, and until they've cleared that stage you can expect to have to wait.
