The game autosaved with the feature OFF

So, I was doing the college quest for the first time ever on a new char. The quest was the one where I would kill "The caller". When I came up to the tower, where the door to The Caller is, the game autosaved. That made me wonder, because I was sure I had turned it off. So I checked my settings and confirmed that all auto-save features are disabled. It's only on this paritcular place tha game has autosaved since I turned it off, so a question I asked my PS3-controller was "is this a specal place that forces upon an autosave?".

What it did that annoyed me was that it overwrote my only autosave, which is "Prisoner level 1", which I always use before making a new char, so i can skip the carriage ride.

Anyone else encountered this?

Might be a scripted http://www.creationkit.com/RequestSave_-_Game in MG03 rather than a timed autosave.

There are some pre-boss autosaves. I've never had one overwrite my prisoner save though.

Well it did, if I didn't accidently overwite it by myself, which I doubt.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply I was doubting you. It could very well overwrite it.

For whatever its worth, I am very much on the side of leaving the autosaves on. Skryim is too unstable a game for me to play without them.
