The game i dreamt of.

First off, so excited for this.

I first found TES on a school computer in the form of daggerfall, I didn't know exactly what I was doing but I couldn't stop doing it. Since then I've savoured my time with these games and have dreamed of an mmo instalment.

I think there simply isn't enough information for me at the present to draw an opinion on weather or not they are going to nail it or leave us wanting, so I withhold my judgment.

But I do have an opinion.

The one thing that I do wonder at is their choice for character progression. I understand that this is an mmo, not a single player game and thus requires or at least hopes to inspire teamwork. So classes become a good way to separate the roles and fit players into a cohesive unit with defined jobs. But it also limits creativity in creation and will affect the ultimate uniqueness of end game Heroes.

I imagined the character progression would have went more like this:

All weapon and armours are available to all and are only increased through use (as is now) but within each skill there would lie talent trees for multiple paths of advancement. E.G:

All skills work off a scale, say 0/100 each levelling through use.

Heavy armour would have three trees, one for crit reduction and movement/attack speed. Another for reducing repair costs and increasing armour effectiveness and the last for status resistances and stun breaks.

2handed axe, one for bleed effects and dmg over time, the next for crit increase and max smug per hit. The last for parrying and counter attacking.

Summoning, the first for summoning monster deadra, a mix of mêlée dps and tanking. The next for elementals and spirits, something to help with range/heals and the last is demons and abominations, things to support/dps

You get the idea right? I have hundreds more and would like to hear yours also.

Too continue.

Each player would get x amount of points to spend as they level and adjust their talents/perks accordingly. In end game even a player who maxes all skills will only have limited points to spend on perks/talents. Therefore will never be more effective in raid/pvp as a player playing as their self-created class.

I think all skills are out of 100, not sure about the various talent lines within skills you're talking about but you will have the chance to morph abilities, which offers another form of uniqueness.

And as mentioned before in other threads, classes are pretty much a necessity in modern Mmos however they are only a baseline in ESO remember, they do not define the role you will play, it's still completely down to you regardless of which class you pick.

You haven't done your homework much. All classes can use all weapons, join all guilds, use all weapons.

Basically classes are the permanent play choice along with race present in the game. It restricts you from accessing 9 other trees, so basically its a "choose carefully" moment- each class has advantages to different styles of gameplay.

All armor has one tree for the armor type. All weapons have one tree, although we can use two weapons in a battle. All classes have three trees. Basically everything has a single tree except for classes and even then it's not like they split up; it's 3 unconnected trees you have acess to. The trees do not branch.

Summoning we don't have much information on, only that Sorcerer's have Daedra summoning and Nightblade's can summon Shade's.

And we will have unlimited points to spend on talents. Finding Skyshards gives more points to use on whatever. They claim they do this because there is no reset.

Hmm... before you start tot dig more info out of this game.. lets just say for most of us ES fans this was actually disappointment, but they put alot of money into this so it basically makes it up.
