The game suddenly became easy!

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:51 am

Ok i ve reached level 43 and it seems that my characted doesnt have many difficulties to survive. When i started for 4-5 levels all the enemies were killed easily. Then the spawned enemies started to become tougher. For many levels is was impossible for my character to explore certain dungeons alone(luckily i have Vorstag as a follower who he is one of the best followers in my opinion).Boss monsters like Dwarven centurions or draugr scourge were a nightmare to defeat.

But ive realised that since around lvl 30 the game suddenly has become easier. My follower helps me but i must say i rearly need his help anymore(except on special occasions like when 4-5 Falmers attack me simultaneously). If i remember correctly, in Oblivion as soon as you reached lvl 30 the enemies you faced were so powerfull that it was a real pain to defeat them, even if they werent boss monsters.

Here i think the game becomes quite easy at some point(not VERY easy but enemies cannot kill you anymore).I play on Expert.Do you agree with this?

If you play on master and once you get into the 60's, 70's, 80's, no the game is not easy.

It all comes down to the: "how good is your gear" question.
Extrem gear = easy mode even on master level.

I remember Oblivion monster as HP sponges. Damn Ogres and Minotaur Lords.

Bump it up to master, but your situation isn't unique.

It'd help to know more about your playstyle though. Certain playstyles are a lot easier than others. Stealth+Archery being a pretty big stand out for Overpowered. A master Shield user also can really destroy the game.

It depends how you play. But some op builds are fun. My definition of easy may be different than yours. My definition of easy is if I almost never die.

yeah, it's gotten that way too, for me...i play a High Elf mage/assassin, and at first i was HAPPY to get Serana as a helper. i thought if i went strictly magic, and bow, i would have a hard time, but as i've gotten better spells and bows, and i'm trying to roll play as a Elf who relies heavily on enchanted equipment, and i've got LOW health but HIGH magic, things have gotten EASY. i'm about to bump it to master i think...

It all comes down to your build. I'm playing on expert right now and I have an Altmer cloth mage with Illusion and One-handed as their main skills. It's very hard when you're on your own. I just went through Skuldafn Temple (level 39) on my own and it was extremely difficult with that build. I couldn't take down the Ancient Dragon and had to rage everyone to take out the other two dragons. I got lucky with Nahkriin as he went back into the temple when the dragons got his health low. Otherwise I may not have been able to get his staff to unlock the portal.

You can make builds that increase the difficulty or you can make builds that are ridiculously OPed.
