Trying to figure out the best way to put this, so i'll just keep things short and to the point. What are some of the worst Gary Stu (Male Marry Sue), and Marry Sue Characters (excluding the Marry Sue story to begin with) out there in literature, movie, and comic history? Also, are there any traits or combinations of traits (3 to 5 max) that automatically make a character the Garry Stu/Marry Sue archetype?

Want to make an original character for a story, but i'm getting some negative feedback about things. While it doesn't seem to be in the Stu/Sue territory, I could be wrong, or probably am wrong since i've only been writing fictional material for a 1 1/2 years now.

I've never heard of those archetypes, what do they mean?
