Is anyone else following this series? If so what is your favourite book? What keeps your reading? What would you like to see in the future?
For me I really enjoyed "Know No Fear" by Dan Abnett. He has written some of the best books so far including the first book "Horus Rising."
Two things that keep me reading would be any info on the two unknown Legions and their Primarchs, the II and XI. Given all the info so far in the series we know that both of them were deleted from the record some 43 years before the Horus Heresy and for good reason but possibly still loyal, at least one of them. But whatever happened to them were separate events.
The other thing is finding out info about what happened to Loyalists within Traitor Legions besides the four Traitor Legions that culled those Loyal to the Emperor at Isstvan III. Which were the Sons of Horus, World Eaters, Death Guard and the Emperor's Children. Some info so far comes from two short stories and the audio books. The first short story is "The Iron Within" by Rob Sanders, from the book "Age of Darkness." It is about a Stronghold held by Loyal Iron Warriors under attack by Traitor Iron Warriors. I believe the other short story is from "The Primarchs" book, "The Lion" by Gav Thorpe. I believe it has Lion El' Johnson mentioning entire fleets and planets of space marines from Traitor Legions that are still Loyal. There is also Nathaniel Garro who was once Death Guard going around gathering loyal and traitors to form the Grey Knights.
I question if these Loyal Marines from Traitors were later formed into Chapters after the Horus Heresy. Which goes into the Blood Ravens debate about whether or not they came from The Thousand Sons Legion?
What I hope for is a book on how Vulkan of the Salamanders got out of the Drop Site Massacre, that and a White Scars book.
