Vilkas and Farkas have their bad boyish good looks, but I ended up marrying Argis the Bulwark. He's a big, strong bear, and I was pleasantly surprised to see such a hot guy in my Markarth house once I bought it And he's a great companion; unlike Lydia he doesn't whine when he carries all of my dragon bones.

Did you catch up and talk to him before he left the chapel? The conversation about where you will live? Because it's a marriage bug, and if you don't talk to him before he leaves, he disappears.

In that case, if you had a previous save you can reload it and once he starts walking just exit the conversation with Maramal and talk to him, otherwise I read in the wiki that you're supposed to wait around like 4-5 days and he may reappear outside or inside the chapel. I'm not sure about that though, best option is to reload a save. And if he starts walking, exit the conversation with Maramal and GET FARKAS BEFORE HE WALKS OUT ON YOU AGAIN!!!!

Yep, one of the annoying and possibly game breaking bugs in the game still. Sometimes they vanish for good, if you're lucky you can find him in Jorvngar(spelling?).

I've been waiting for his return, wandering the desolate lands of skyrim in mourning. But yet, I still hold the hope that one day I will see him again. (Hopefully with the next patch).

Also, there was a case of someone who found their spouse standing outside the chapel just at a different entrance.

Thalmor men, for some reason (Ondolemar, Ancano, the nameless one on the loading screen) are all very nice to look at.

Never actually ran into Farkas; I assume he's with the Companions, since I haven't touched that questline.
