So I'm at the part in the main quest line where Mr. House sends me to the fort to retrieve the platinum coin. I am currently vilified with Caesar's Legion, and I can't seem to get to Benny. I no longer have any dialogue options with Mr. House, and I've tried using faction armor to get there. However, there are dogs outside and inside the tent where I am suppose to go. The only solutions I can see are to either kill everyone in the camp including Caesar, which Mr. House told me not to do, or to gain reputation with the legion, which I cannot find a way to. Anyone have any insight regarding this problem?

Edit: Has anyone gotten past this point in the game? It seems like this quest is a necessary quest in the main quest chain, unless there is a way to progress through the story line without it?

Would killing NCR maybe give you rep ?

i actually just finished that mission and i choose caesars legion.....reccomendation if you choose this path when you go back to new vegas pack a LOT of HEAT!

I don't see why it would as killing legion members does not give you NCR rep.

I was vilified by Caesars Legion when I walked into Lucky 38 to talk to Mr House.. within a few seconds of walking out of Lucky 38 (after having talked to House) .. a dude in a suit ran up to me and gave me Caesars Mark.. said all was forgiven.. and caesar wanted to meet me..

I had this happen to me to, except when I was on my way to talk to Caesar I look out some legion guys and am now again Vilified. Dunno how to progress through the story now :\
