The Jeweled Pitcher, Has Anybody Unlocked It? (360)

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 1:19 pm

The other day, I spent eight hours doing around 80 side jobs for the Thieves Guild. My goal was to fully upgrade the trophy cabinets behind the guildmaster's desk. However, somebody pointed out to me that the reward for 75 jobs completed, the jeweled pitcher, doesn't always unlock. Sure enough, it didn't unlock for me and in frustration, I deleted that save and decided not to join the Thieves Guild with that character. Well, I'm tempted to go through the game one more time, and I would like to join the Thieves Guild and I would like to fully upgrade the trophy cabinets. So, on the 360, has anybody managed to get that jeweled pitcher to appear?

Well I have gotten all the types but not after any particular order. I've gotten the ship, urn/pitcher, candlestick, any of those things asked to get. I never knew there was a particular amount of times you had to do those quests before a particular item showed up.

I read the wiki and saw the list and noticed that I had gotten all the items except the golden ship. And the very next time I tried the gig, it was the ship.

and yes i'm on 360

Some of those you're describing, you steal on missions. The gold pitcher is the object at the bottom left of the trophy cabinet. It's only unlocked by doing the 75 side jobs, or at least it's supposed to.

so what you're saying is that even though I've stolen tons of gold pitchers, I have to steal 75 items to have 1 placed in the cabinet? lol

and while I'm thinking about it, is it possible to get into the TG safe area during the game? I know at one point you find it empty, but after you become guildmaster do you ever gain access to it?

Worse, you have to do 75 side-jobs, like 'The Numbers Job'. It took me eight hours of non-stop play to get that many, only to discover that my game glitched and the pitcher didn't unlock.

I've done 125 jobs. I have the safe, and everything in the trophy case except the pitcher and the eye of the falmer.

Very upsetting.

Well, that's unfortunate. If I do go through with my new character, I guess I'll only do the minimum 20 to get the guildmaster position.

I wonder if this would work the same way as the Totems of Hircine quests from Aela? Save in a different cell than the quest giver. Load/enter cell/ask for quest. If you don't get the quest you want, reload. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I think I'm going to delete my new character. I really liked the look of her, too. I hadn't looked ahead to the left eye of the falmer, as it was much later on, but the comment in this thread prompted me to look ahead. It would seem that, on the 360, there is no way to turn in the left eye of the falmer and thus it never appears in the trophy cabinet. Is this correct? I'll never understand why they can't be bothered to patch these things.

The left eye isnt just an issue for the 360, it happened to me on pc as well. It seems that the last item you collect isnt recognised by delvin. once for me it was the map, once it was the puzzle box.

i just put them on the shelves myself. :ermm:

Well, the UESP listed a console command work-around for the PC. It's all rather disheartening, none-the-less. I just put 70 hours into a character but had a rare desire to immediately play another character, but not with these glitches. I doubt they'll ever get patched. Maybe I'll play again if they release something cool in the DLC, like spears.
