Night eye. I am facing a slight problem here, so I humbly come to those more experienced than I in the matter for help.

To put the question bluntly, my Night Eye ability just doesnt work at all. I hope I don't have to create an entire new game. When I click it to go on, the arrow pops up, but there is no 'L' or 'R' in the middle of it like any other spell does. I've tried waiting for days and days, and I've tried going to the darkest spot I could find in the game to use it for, and it never toggles on. (Like I said, I can toggle that arrow for favorite and the big arrow for use on, but no letter shows up and nothing happens in game).

If anyone has experience with this, or recognizes that I'm doing something wrong, I would so appreciate it if you could enlighten me. I don't want to start a new file

Your nighteye is a power just like a shout, and so is triggered by the same button you use to shout.

Of course!!!! I feel so stupid, thank you for pointing out the blatantly obvious to me I appreciate it! (please excuse the noobish nature of this thread, im very sorry)

Hey, no worries bud. When I started playing I could not for the life of me figure out how to unlock the shout. The first one unlocks automatically and I missed the fine print at the corner of the screen telling me it was the square button (PS3). Had to post here to ask. Good luck with your game.

P.S. I do wish Skyrim were darker so nighteye or artificial light sources were needed more.
