The Local Lake Manor Dragon.. -_-

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:16 am

EVERY time i fast travel to my house in Falkreath, theres always a dead Dragon outside, he makes everything so awkward and clunky... i think it might have triggered when i came across a perched Dragon, when i went up to him he burnt up and gave me his soul but was still alive, he just stood there, breathing and staring down at Falkreath.. but in skeleton form... however the dead dragon outside my house is fleshy, and doesnt burn up

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how to get rid it?

UPDATE: This hasnt happedn before, the Dragon is now doing an animation as if he was alive and perched, but he is still very much dead as i can search him etc..
If he was perched up on the top of the house, it would be cool, as it would seem i had a pet Dragon :3 but hes just sort of clipping into everything..

You could try clearing the game cache when you first start the game up and see if that clears him.

Did you try shouting at him? Use Dragonrend or something.

Lightening Bolt works for this too but only on a fleshy dead dragon.

a dual cast incinerate fireball sends every dragon corpse flying, flesh or bone...not sure if impact perk matters

Respawning dragons tend to be those reruns which have the same Actor ID each time, but only allow souls to be eaten once.
Like the ones at the various Dragon roosts with word walls.

I recommend blowing the corpse clear of the area encompassed by your local map marker.
I watched something similar happen near a placable house mod, before Hearthfire was released, Kagrenac's Instant Fortress, in which the corpse would not self delete or otherwise go away.

Paarthunax's dead body keeps following my character around. If I fast travel to Riverwood he is always there, either outside the gates near the campsite, or right inside the town. If I fast travel to Lakeview he will be there too. It seems to only be happening in that hold though near Falkreath and Riverwood, or I am just not seeing him when I travel to other holds. Weird.
