Does it remind anybody else of a Ouroborus(or whatever your preferred spelling of it is, since there's like five of them)? Was it intentional? And where did the Devs get it from? I don't think I've seen it in any of the other ES games. On a side note, I think I might actually consider getting it as a tattoo, since I wanted my first one to be of a Ourborus anyway and me being a gamer and TES being my favorite game series of all time would just make it that much better.

Yes it's an Ouroboros, it's because they are 3 groups of 3 provinces united. The Ouroboros is a symbol of union.

Fair point. Even still, it is a rather nice looking Ouroborus and most of the examples I've found via Google are rather..."meh". Only problem I have with it is that the heads are a bit too...lion-y/chinese for my taste(I'd prefer a more lizard/reptile/dragon look). Either way, I've still got another 8 months to a year before I get a tattoo anyway and I'm sure I can find a place that does a sketch of what they're thinking of for the tattoo from your idea/desciption.
