I'm not sure exactly what this is I've stumbled across in Markarth, I'm not sure what kind of scripted event, glitch and/or black magic has occured inside my game to cause this, but apparently the Markarth guards and the Dragonborn have come to an agreement without my consent. Everything I touch, dies. When I punch a man in the face, the gaurds kill him. When I stab my homeless "favorite drinking buddy" the gaurds shoot an arrow into his neck. When I shout at the shopkeeper, the gaurds scream bloody murder, put a sword in her chest, and return to work as if nothing ever happened. My bounty goes up, of course, but then they just go about their usual routine, playfully mocking me about that sweetroll incident, complaining about their cousins, basically doing everything other than arresting me.

So, my question to you, upstanding citizens of this forum, is has this happened to anyone else? Did I completley miss something in the dialogue? Is this one of the perks to becoming a Thane? Or have I stumbled upon something darker? Something much worse? Has my character made a secret pact with the captain of the guard while my game was off, and now I have my own group of personal assassins watching over me in the streets? And if this is so, when will I have to pay up my end of the bargain? sure, watching gaurds attack children for half an hour is fun and all, but what good is it if I have to give up my left kidney in the end?

In case you have no idea what I just said (I know I don't) the Markarth gaurds murder everyone I attack in Markarth, but leave me alone, as if my victim were the one who attacked me. Is this a normal thing, a glitch, or something much, much worse? (This is on the Xbox by the way, so mods cant be involved)

Never heard of that happening. Instead, its the other way around. I thought this was going to be about the conspiracy glitch.
