The Marukhati Collected (Whirling Scrolls Online) Pt VI

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:42 am

Welcome to the sixth iteration of the collective endevour to raise an Elk to emperor.
Tam! RUGH!

On the last thread we discussed some things and found some new members, who share our goals and ideals.

I think all us Collected are excited about the upcoming game, and especially the prospect of forming a guild with fellow lore-enthusiasts :)
In this thread we can possibly endevour to find more like-minded monkeys and confuse the unintiated with varliance.

Indeed. May Eyesore...man, I'm way too sleepy for this, and I gotta go to work.

Seriously people? I demand moar action on this thread!

Also, to all the non-monkeys out there, feel free to ask lore questions and we'll answer (we might be obtuse about it, but we also might not be).

It's probably better if they ask them on the lore forum.

So why call this group the MC? Why does this particular in-game group best represent MK-lovers?

Because the Elk decreed it. Next question.

He left the forums for an unkown reason in early May, and hasn't been back since. last seen in the second thread.

My dear Maruhkati,
What are we to make of Red Mountain being beheld by those not of Native birth? Has ALMSIVI's decree been circumvented somehow? Will Vvardenfell be explorable by outlanders?!?
~ Ashur Indobar. Armiger of the Ghostgate and Vehk's devotee.

(Red Mountain was in one of the Demo's, probably means Vvardenfell is explorable despite the Tribunal not allowing outlanders on the Island)

Yes, that is a good question.
Vvardenfell is supposed to be a temple reserve at this time and not open for colonisation or visitors.

Lets hope that it is not immediately accessible, but one has to perform some sort of quest for the temple first.

I suppose that is the best we can hope for though i doubt they will restrict that large of an area with a quest requirement. One can hope so though. If they dont i think we have a new mission within the Marukhati Selective. Pestering the [Redacted] out of every outlander on Vvardenfell) I honeslty thought they were gonna leave it out of the game as they actually had a relatively perfectly valid excuse to do so.

Stuff like that is gonna be all over. They are not going to stop us looking at the 'cool' stuff. I'm sure the Hist aren't that happy about casual visitors, and you don't hear too many 'a Nord, a Dunmer and an Argonian walk into a bar on Summerset' jokes, but that's the way it's going to be because that is what a lot of people want to see. Not good, imo, but tough.

This is exactly why this thread exists. The lore is going to be trampled on in areas, it's inevitable with such a change in game mechanics to the usual TES. That's why we want an Elk on the throne, that's why we say COME TO THE HOUSE OF WE. To spread monkey truth among the warring tourists of Tamriel. Pretty isn't it? Guess what, it's so much more interesting if you scratch below the surface.

Yes i am aware of that. This was just one of the more obvious visual clues that it would really be that bad. I am 100% certain inner Black Marsh will not cause all non-Argonians to die from poison. Gameplay trumps lore... <_<

Ah, it will be nice to wear simple temple robes and call every non-Dunmer 'N'wah' and ask: 'What do you want, outlander?'

Have we reached a decision if we all are to be apart of the same big faction or is it possible for someone like me to RP a mole for the Marukhati Collective inside the Thalmor regions?

"We're watching you, scum!" Meme revival maybe?

I think I am going to call most people on Vvardenfell "Stupid S'wit!" and if I play with you I shall preamble your rambles on the Lessons of Vivec by saying " 'Ware the teachings of Vivec N'wah or I shall take one step closer to reaching heaven..." Then you know, Sermon 16 em. If they don't like it? 'Foul Murder!'

Might be cool if Vvardenfell was a inner faction PvP zone and there were a few of those throughout the factions. Inner PvP zones for inner faction grievances. Might be fun to have arenas too.

Depends if there is cross faction communication or not. If so...meet up at Fort Redman? Maybe just the Veyond Ruins(both of them are near Leyawin). Seems Leyawin is going to be hotly contested between the Aldmeri Dominion and the Ebonheart Pact.

At least now I understand(kinda) why EVERY fort in Cyrodiil is in ruins in the 3rd Era.

It would be nice if Vivec′s arena is functional (finally )

It might be possible but if there are restrictions so you cant talk to people outside your faction it may get lonely.
The planned base of operations is the Ebonheart Pact.

Thing is I want to be a khajiit. Am I then bound to the Aldmeri Dominion? I still want an Elk on the throne D:

Hmmm...Vvardenfell was described by one of the NPCs in game (just started replaying Morrowind recently) as one of the more dangerous places on Tamriel. Maybe it will be one of the sites of end game PVE content? Something you have to earn by say, fighting in an arena! If you win you are no longer considered an Outlander? That seems more in line with Nordic ways of thinking than the Dunmer philosophy though.

As far as we know, the throne goes to the most successful faction in PvP, so if everyone is in different factions, we will be at odds; but spreading the word, well the more (and the more widely spread), the merrier [the Elk]. I would be Altmer, but in this respect a Nord seems to be the way to go for me, against my usual wishes (I am thinking a healer from the Temple of Dibella, the oldest story she knows will of course have scenes of a graphic nature, not suitable for minors).

Ive been an Altmer since Daggerfall.
For this occasion I have asked Divayth Fyr to vat-grow me a proper Dunmer body, so I can be in the allegiance my heart dictates :)
Ill probably play an Altmer on another character sometime though. No reason why we should stick to just one avatar.

Maybe we can have a pervasive presence across all the factions with multiple characters?

I will mostly play a Dunmer in the Ebonheart faction but also a Redguard in the Daggerfall Covenant and either a Khajiit or Altmer in the Aldmeri Dominion. Still hopeful/deluding myself that there will not be faction restrictions and only PVP will be restricted to Cyrodiil and select areas within each faction.

I hope so too. However, if there are restrictions, could we maybe use the forums as a way to communicate to each other in character?
