So with few REALLY good quest mods, I decided to throw my hat into the fray and work on my own quest.
However, it is still a work in progress. Map is pretty much complete, it just needs polishing and content added into it. But it's far from finished.
The Maze brings about a whole new original quest, set in Skyrim, where the player thrusts into a dungeon of quirks and works. Deception, secrets, hidden treasure as well as deadly traps and ambushes awaits at every corner.
In this mod, The Maze is designed to create an original dungeon and quest with it's own story and side stories, information and detail. Completely lore friendly, and expands more on the game and lore than most quests.
Story:
While you pay another visit to Dragonsreach, you notice a middle aged adventurer spending his remaining hours as one by drinking and laying back. But he isn't as lazy as you would believe. A soon to be wed adventurer decides to hang up his blade when barely escaping a deadly maze. He recounts his tale of a daring fight against Draugr, traps, and Foresworn coming in right from behind. But the words that stick to your ear are: "No one ever survived traversing The Great Maze." His only wish is for someone crazy enough, or brave enough, to take up the challange of traversing the Maze and come back. The catch? The Armor of Reman Cyrodil. Placed in a tomb of his followers, built to protect the sacred armor in memory of his victory against the Akaviri invasion at Pale Pass, it awaits those who are worthy enough to wear the armor with pride and honor.
Will you be able to aquire this sacred relic of Imperial Pride? Or will you suffer the fate of those who followed?
The Dungeon:
The Maze is designed uniquely for the players. To give an original dungeon for an original quest, lore friendly and belivable for the players as they traverse the narrow dark halls of the Maze. Where markers are needed, where an arrowhead on your compass gives vague descriptions of the maze, it is up to you the player, to use thought and memory to survive the maze instead of going in circles. The map is reccommended for high leveled players. It is also reccommended to use the torchs you find when you start the maze to find your path. (And to also leave breadcrumbs for yourself.)
In game side stories, details and lore expansion:
Find interesting notes, diaries and details from the hands of the dead. Learn more bout the cave from books and concept, examine the situation and research the environment around you. Fill in what you believe happened or had happened recently as you pave across dead adventurers, foresworn, Draugr, and old aged corpses.
What I have so far:
The Maze: 100% Polishing will need work.
Traps: 35% work in progress.
A working Dialogue system: 13% Work in progress
Voiced actor: (Not yet found.)
Scripting: 0%
What I am looking for:
Scriptors, modders who have a better understanding of the dialogue system than I do.
Possible modelers if the release of the beta proves successful upon completion.
I might not respond right away, but I will get back to you and contact you if you are interested.
