Your first...'point': Don't have brightness at full. I like the challenge of hunting in the dark with my bow, as my vision is restricted.

Your second 'point': Don't drink bleach, kid. It's a game.

Torch? No, they have their uses.

Silent roll though, I do agree. It is only good if you want the perks above it - which I tend to avoid anyway.

Gourd.

Bethesda either forgot to make it used in cooking or in alchemy.

I will add linen wraps as useless.

You can actually use a torch if your brightness is lowered and if you can light others on fire by blocking with the torch.

The Jarl of Winterhold. The town has, what? Five people in it, including his son?

Really?! I'm going to keep a torch from now on.

I always keep 3 torches on me (that's 900 seconds worth of light) for the value of light.

I don't consider torches useless, but personally prefer a Candlelight spell.

I agree. It has no use at all. I mean its a food item with zero application.

Tower of Strength perk. On console, want it fixed? Still rainin' still dreamin'.

Or Esbern's potion, though that did actually work once.

I will defend torches as I did right at the start. Torches have a multitude of uses.

1. Between late evening and early morning, and when used under the correct lighting conditions on your TV or monitor, dungeons and outside areas are lit up. You can, if you wish use your torch during daylight hours, but that brings us to number 2.

2. Although taking up your offhand, torches can, and will set enemies on fire. Admittedly, there are better things to be doing, but this is a valid use nonetheless.

3. For people like myself who like to RP Skyrim, torches are a vital part of any character's life. They are the building block of any adventurer too.

So.... yeah. :D

The Cloaks of Skyrim mod actually makes them usefull since they are the crafting material for linen cloaks.

Useless: Torches. Dungeons are FAR too bright.

Dumbest: Markers. They completely undermine everything that's great about open world games, and degrade the experience.

Useless: The enchantment on the Blade of Woe. Absorb 10 health. My assassin doesn't get hurt during his sneak attack, so no need to absorb health.

Dumbest: Not being able to disenchant the Shrouded Gloves to put the x2 backstab enchantment onto other gloves.

Scaling armor and weapons. I shouldn't be punished for getting an awesome weapon early and then be stuck with a crappy enchantment, but if I wait til I'm over level 50 when the weapon would be useless by then it has the best enchantment.

It's all really prefference. I find the Silent Roll to be very helpful, crouching makes you slow, but when an enemy is walking ahead of you and you need to catch up, the silent roll can get you over to them quick. And I like the torches, walkign through a dark cave with the only thing allowing me to see what's coming at me is a stick with a small flame makes it more eerie. Though I'd rather see some lanterns... Dwarven oil could even be used to re-light them. That way we wouldn't need multiple ones like the torch.
