Why am I such a well stocked hoarder of unreasonable proportions?
Well, except for my mother being a squirrel - hence the need to stock up on stuff, it all boils down to a fierce will to survive. Because if I were to use this stuff to actually perform alchemy or enchanting I would certainly die!
From a horrible, but statistically sound, accident at home, you ask?
No! But from bringing a drink and a +X boot to a Troll fight 40 levels higher than me...
To be clear... what I'm saying is that if I were to use this stuff for alchemy and this stuff for enchanting I would gain so very many levels that when I exit my home again I'd basically be the same fighting person with some buffs but every other monster or bad person in Skyrim would have gained the same amount of levels on my - the difference being they spent it on fighting and magic skills.
So... what to do?

Keep hoarding. Lookie no touchie. So sad.
I wish Alchemy and Enchanting wouldn't affect the total level. I guess the same goes for some other skills like smithing for example.
Or that the balancing system in the game was smart enough to realize that from a characters 40 levels 25 of them are in non combat skills. But it isn't, right?
