The nest DLC, what do you want?

Post » Mon Feb 25, 2013 12:53 pm

We all have heard that Redguard might be the next DLC. While I am unsure of that, I feel there are some loose ends that need to be taken care of before Beth moves all of its attention to ESO. So here are some things I would like to see.

Pick a High King already
- Forget what the Imperials or Stormcloaks want, make the Dovahkiin High King. Of course this would piss off alot of the powers that be, oh well. I guess we'll have to fight about it. :D

I am the Dovahkiin, I want the Armor and Sword of Talos

I want the sword and armor worn by Talos in his shrine statues. If I have had one issue with Skyrim, its that I don't really care for any of the armor styles, which bugs me as I have always been a Heavy Armor user. Simple chainmail with that great helm and cloak, yes dude. That perfect blade, please sir. Multiple variants of the armor (Light and Heavy) so everyone can look cool. Give it cool enchantments, or none at all so we can make it perfect for our needs. Also don't just give it to us, send us on a grand quest to get it, maybe to prove ourselves worthy of being High King. Maybe a DLC could let us go a little south to the catacombs of Sancre Tor.

A.K.A. the Dovahkiin
Ok, so we can change our face, our perks, but not our name? Maybe a shady forger in the Reach or something that can "get you a new ID, no problem".

I'm on my fifth marriage...
Can we please divorce and remarry already?

-----------------------------------------------
Ok, that'll do. What would you guys want? Also before it is said, yes I know we can mod/control most of this, but I'm in this with all my console hommies.

Horse armor.

Legit, I love horse armor. I'd have an in game NPC make fun of it. Have him have a business that's failing because hey, who wants armor for their horse? And for those prices!

I did too man. I know it wasn't worth the price back in the day, but it was still cool. No idea why it became such a joke.

....... Can't believe I forgot Horse Armor.

What about this?? Skyrim already has the daedric quests. Why not do something with the divines?? Give players a chance to be good for a change and not have to be murdering, evil bastards. Lol

I doubt Dovahkiin can become High King. It would be first time for Bethesda to release content that discriminates 9/10 of the races and it would be silly for them, knowing that not all play Nords as their main characters.

Choosing high king, well what is there to say. Elisif is queen if Empire wins and Ulfric if Stormcloaks win.
If anything High Kingy is in, I'd say we get to see the actual crowning ceremony, nothing else.

As for what I want to see, I'd want Bethesda to continue on the path it took with Dragonborn and work to improve voice acting, dialogue and recognition of player actions. That's all, really.

How is it discriminatory if all the races can be dovahkiin?

Maybe a set of divine weapons and armor (all weapons and a Head/Body/Hands/Feet/Shield/Ring) that's enchantments change depending on which amulet of the Divine you are wearing.

Yeah but I really don't see Nords accepting an Argonian or a Dark Elf as their high king, no matter of his blood.

And besides as I said there are already the exiting candidates: Elisif and Ulfric.

The armor of Tiber Septim is found in Sancre Tor in Oblivion but I think It was given to Martin in the battle at Bruma and he never returned it.

you know...ive gotta agree... with how squishy they are and how short there temper is skyrim horses really need some armor but only if there are more options then just steel and elven.

If a horse armor DLC comes out, it should be integrated in a greater DLC, because just the armor seems so... oblivionish.
Dova High King is unlikely... but I always wanted to be the Jarl of a town and perhaps build the town like in hearthfires... and orientating the town with options that suits your character.
For example, if you like to play a wealthy char, you spend the slots building economic buildings and improving them, if you are a warrior you spend the slots building walls and castles and garrisons, etc. That, I would like.

I like that idea. It would a counter agent to the game to wearing/using daedric equipment.

Add-on to the Civil War perhaps leading to the player becoming an actual general in whichever army you've joined. Helping plan battles, opting for stealth ambushes, frontal assaults on forts, etc. When defensive is needed you could choose where your sides archers will set up, have a 'signal' shout that is added for the battle so when you use it the NPC group of your choosing will then run out and join the battle as reinforcements, etc. Eventually leading to the crowning of the next High King/Queen where you are present as honoured guest, though it would be nice if the Dovahkiin could try to become High King/Queen. Hopefully all the battles would take place in the northern parts of Cyrodiil though, so we still get to see some "new" areas, or wherever else that isn't Skyrim. So long as it would have multiple ways of playing through it so as to be very replayable. Let us backstab and play sides against each other too, if we so wish.

Besides that, a smaller RP to add in nice RP stuff that lots of mods already do really well. Wearable backpacks for increased carry weight, bedrolls/tents you can carry with you and set up out in the wild to sleep at, hardcoe mode perhaps, SADDLE BAGS for horses so they can be used to store loot, etc.

Ooh, that'd be great! Could build a new town in a border area, craft it to your liking and watch the money or resources roll in. Could have a mine on site that, if you providing funding at first, could become a source of income for the town. That'd be great! ^_^

Here's Another Thought,

Would you rather the next DLC take place within the province of Skyrim or somewhere else like Dragonborn did??
