The vampire storyline in Skyrim have been the most interesting experience I had in Skyrim so far.

I'm thinking we've gotten the most out of Vampires that we'll be seeing in Skyrim. Maybe there'll be some new books included in future DLC that add to the lore, but that's about it I'd say. I'd like to see them focus on other aspects of the game world, personally.

I do love that stuff, and although I have not yet completed the Dawnguard content, I'd love to see more, including some related to the vampire clans in Morrowind/High Rock and the high interesting influence of The Order on the actual political situation... my opinion is, vampires are not exclusive content, they are present in most TES courts and political maneuverings and I'd like to be able to meet some and recognize them if my character is a vampire as well.

I doubt BGS would make two vampire themed DLC for one game.

Dragonborn hasn't been released yet, so I could honestly care less about the next-next DLC. But ya, enough with the vamps and weres.

They have already made one Vampire DLC too many. I have never played TES games so I could be a creature. I play TES games to kill creatures, like vampires and werewolves. It sickens me to no end that they wasted so much time on that junk. IMO Skyrim needs heroes, not more creatures.

No matter what they do playing as a vampire or werewolf will always be lame because it's just not what you are supposed to be doing in TES games. Some dev needs to stop watching Underworld long enough to come up with some original heroic quests.

A two-handed Dawnbreaker to kill them quicker  Or a bow so i don't need a billion cure disease poisons.

Yes, disease :stare:

(I believe you might find more vapire fans in the Dawnguard section :whisper:)

You know you have the option of joining a faction practically dedicated to killing vampires in Dawnguard, right? The faction that the DLC is named after, in fact. You don't need to become one.

That is your personal opinions others on the other hand would like the possibility to play as a werewolf or vampire. I do agree tho, we do not need another DLC focused around vampires. Dawnguard did that bit, another one would not add much more interesting things to the vampires.

If only we could have gotten this for Dawnguard... But no. Instead we got chaotic stupid Harkon and a cheesy, overdone plot. I get that the Volkihar are supposed to be 'barbaric', but still. You can be 'barbaric' and subtle at the same time - how else are you going to survive for a thousand years?

What happened to devious, manipulating, scheming vampires? They were mentioned in Oblivion. Where is the mystery, the subtelty?

If a hypothetical new vampire DLC would bring us more of the same that DG brought us I'd rather not have it made. At least the perk trees, weapons & armour and the locations were nice enough, I suppose.

What I would really like is for said hypothetical vampire DLC to be more than a pretty package which quickly deflates upon closer inspection. An intriguing story, with scheming and subtlety. Not more of those shallow gimmicks that aggrandize the player (oh look! I'm a hero! I'm awesome!) which don't add any actual depth to the game and are employed to hide the lack of substance.

I really don't think we'll be seeing anymore vampires for the time being. Perhaps some small quest for werewolves in the Solstheim DLC but I wouldn't hold your breath for it.

There's so much interesting stuff in TES lore to experience that another vampire DLC would be a crime.

Agreed, I mean, "look theres a huge castle over there... oh its haunted, ok I'll stay out of there." and for thousands of years none asked more questions about that place. This is ridiculous, I hate the vampire lord thing(gruesomely plagiarized from Underworld), I never use that... being a vampire is shallow and disappointing, I don't even wish more features, I hope for more depth, and DG brought some but not enough. Vampires are one of the most fascinating creatures in TES games, and game after game they lose relevancy and attention and that is not explained why... I'd be fine with some book regarding a long forgotten clan that called too much attention for them, resulting in total annihilation of the kind and hostility all over Tamriel. Lets call them Volkihar ok but please, if developers are going to present them to community, show proper Volkihar then.

Please, no more vampire DLCs. Let the folks who aren't sick of them already have a turn. :)

I highly doubt they are going to make another vampire DLC. This is skyrim, not Twilight.

If they made another vampire DLC (which im sure they wont) id want it to be vampire guilds like in morrowind. In morrowind there were 3 different vampire clans that you join depending on which clan infects you. (there was also rogue vampires, so if you were infected by a normal vampire, you couldnt join any of the clans, but there were miscellaneous vampire quests you could get off other rogue vampires)

Also each vampire clan had different abilities, like the quarra clan was all warriors, so you got huge boosts to warrior stats.

While I do enjoy playing as a vamp on some of my characters, I think one DLC focused on them is enough for this go round. Perhaps in the next ES game it can be explored further. Unless there's a small side quest where we get pulled under the ice into a Volkihar lair. Ever since I read about them in the lore I've wanted to get pulled under the ice like that.

What I would like to see is more Daedric realms. Shivering Isles to me was oozing with that other-worldly, fantastical atmosphere. I'm hoping to feel like that with the upcoming Dragonborn DLC. I'd also like them to further explore the possibility of combining spell effects like they did in the Game Jam.

A vampire DLC is not very likely to happen, we've already had one, I doubt they will make another. If they did though, then I would want a more in depth story, one that delves into the politics of vampires, the way they manipulate the mortals and how they feud with other vampire clans and stay hidden. I would like a deeper look into vampire society, not a simple "here is a vampire clan, go kill them." Or worse, another Dawnguard storyline clone. Dawnguard wasn't bad, but it could have been much better.

Personally though, I hope Bethesda listen and get their act together with vampires in the next TES. Each game they get treated more and more like an afterthought. And every time they do, they get people complaining on how they have been treated.

exactly, now lets imagine I've heard a rumor about a vampire den near solitude on the ice fields. I venture to see whats this about and then I see a suspicious man running away, I try to follow him and all of a sudden - zumm - frozen captive by some kind of magical force pulling me through the ice... I end up on a deep frozen dinner table, about to be eaten by bestial creatures but one of them(the most powerful one I assume) disrupts the scene, and call for a talk... he realizes this prey is strong, and might just be what they are looking for... they enthrall me and I'm forced to go out questing for some ancient relic of vampires inside a grotto called Dimhollow. An alternate start for DG that would be loyal to the very little fundamental thing we knew about them.

Yeah the only thing we knew about these vampires is that they pulled you under the ice.

I havent played dawnguard yet, but im guessing by these posts that they dont pull anyone under the ice?

Ever since i first started playing skyrim, i told my brother "yeah man there was a book i read that in skyrim theres vampires that pull you under the ice. I cant wait til i see them".

And then i found some random vampires not in a quest called volkihar vampires, and they were just normal vampires, but seemed a bit tougher. I was very disappointed though. And seems going to be more disappointed that even in dawnguard they dont pull you through the ice.

I loved back there in Oblivion, to starve for a couple days and then venture in some Ayleid ruin, full power +40 on attributes... and then sneaking my way out to feed before taking social aproaches. I highly miss that.
