Am I the only one that realizes...

Am I the only one that realizes that quest items are weightless? All of you complaining about carrying around a certain scroll that weighs 20 units and all these stones of Barenziah that you can't get rid of and complain that you could be carrying a potion instead? Is it that hard to see that if an item is marked as a quest item it's weight isn't counted against you?

No you're not the only one that realises that, I know quest items weigh 0 but they are still cluttering up my inventory and making me scroll, scroll, scroll, to find the useable items I need in an ever-growing list of weightless, useless, tat!!!!!

Edit to add: Those stones are particularly annoying, because for some reason they don't even bloomin' stack properly!!!!

Hmm, try picking up a quest that makes a giants toe a quest item on a collectables quest. Which by itself is fine, but means you can't drop any of the other 19 giants toes you have... thats irritating, but not gamebreaking either tbh.

Just another reason we need to be able to abandon quests.

Like the friggin Blade of Woe in Oblivion. I'm not an assassin. In reality, I should be able to forget I ever met Lucien Lachance and pitch that dagger in the Niben Bay, end of (that) story.

It's not that Quest Items have no weight, it is that they will not be removed from your inventory even after the quest is done.

However, I did find a way to get rid of a certain scroll........

Talk to the librarian at the College of Winterhold's Arcaneum.

You can also ditch quest-related weapons/shields by putting them on display racks.
