Am I the only one who thinks Crysis' MP is boring?

Post » Fri Aug 06, 2010 3:35 pm

It's boring, broken, full of glitches and hacker friendly. I'm sure that by posting this, I'm gonna get flamed by everyone on the thread so I'm gonna say that for the SP, Crysis is my favorite video game of all time. Nothing even comes close to it but to me, the MP is dead, laggy as hell and boring. It's my opinion, I respect yours so do the same here.

I think Reapling is talking about Crysis 1 MP aka Crysis Wars.

triple-fail :D

I like wars, don't really think the glitches mess the game up, most of the actually are from admin mods... at least those that i have seen.

Crysis Wars would be my favourite game if it had enough people playing. I have to give Team Fortress 2 as my number 1 game. A classic :)

I am probably going to get flamed for this. I don't like mods. At all. They have glitches, they're occasionally unfinished, and in some cases a mod that I simply don't like becomes popular and everyone plays it.

I admit that I have never played any crysis multiplayer. But I know about mods in other games. I have heard about CW multiplayer, and it doesn't sound all that great to me. That could be because the community is sadly dying.

Anyway, another reason I don't like mods is because the community may always be playing modded maps and such. I like to play the default maps on games because I can work out strategies for them and adapt to them. If people are always on different, new maps that makes adapting very hard.

I'm just saying those thoughts I have. If anything I said was incorrect, ignorant or misinformed then please tell me, I still have an open mind because I haven't actually experienced the crysis modding community and their various achievements.

Crysis 1 has best multiplayer ever! ^^
Bugs like Circle Jump and Walljump only made game is better.
Crysis Wars is[...]boring.
Becouse recoil is too small, strafe is funny and this is not realistic game!
Everybody can use ZPATCH cheats and phoenix and other anticheats can't do anything. Now, when punkbuster stopped support, game goes to the sands.
Crysis 1 is good, becouse with a small community you know who can cheating. All from my side! Original 4ever.

Some custom maps are very popular, so you could get your adapting part easily :D

Crysis had it's own Multiplayer (Crysis MP), Crysis Wars (a seperate MP experience) was packaged in with Crysis: Warhead and we haven't confirmed that there will be a map editor for consoles or for the PC at this stage.

Before you chuck the baby out with the bath water you should check out the 7OXICiTY crysis-wars dedicated server, it feels like a vanilla server in terms of speed but leads the way in server side enhancements, with a couple of years of development behind it you'll understand fairly quickly we really wanted the best crysis-wars server there could be, we have matured with feedback and constant development, always making sure we understand whats best for the player, but with a little 7OX-spice added on top, but not too much to ruin your game, slow you down or make you reach for the escape button, we have just upgraded your iron-man software thats all... all you gotta do is show us how good you are at stopping bullets :)

I actually like the MP quite a bit. It's fun to grab a friend, and camp in buildings in power struggle mode. Power Struggle is fun as hell if you make it fun, but the issue is, nobody plays MP and even tries to enjoy it properly.
