Am I the only one who thinks the game is awesome?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 9:26 am

I'm really enjoying it on my Xbox. Played about 7 hours so far, and I've only done about 3 quests

Quite amusing all of the PC players who don't like the game trying to act and sound important. They go on and on about their precious mod community, so why are they bothered about small insignificant problems that will get fixed with mods? Some people need to get a grip (this is focused at the whiney and moany PC players, not the nice ones like the ones on this thread :P)

Only about an hour in (not even in Riverwood) due to having to go to sleep for work today, but I find myself taking it EXTREMELY slow in order to take it all in. It's overwhelming in a good way. My only beef has been the fluttery and blocky shadows that are a little distracting to the eye, but the gameplay is great and really smooth. Anyone who says the combat isn't an improvement over Oblivion is nuts. I am a little concerned about what I've read about mages being too easy, but I've never played much as a mage anyway.

I won't have the game for the next few hours but I can't wait!!!!!

I'm not complaining that much... I'm just surprised at the bug info and the whole texture bug for the Xbox 360 (which is the platform I will be using) worries me.

But overall I am SUPER ecstatic about getting the game!!!

the game is awesome, easily the best BGS game I've ever played, maybe my #1, but I still don't know.

I love it! As far as I can see the most common complaints are the PC UI (which I can't really comment on coz I'm ps3) and people not liking change!

I have to say I am on PC and the UI is working great for me so far. There was maybe a 10 minute learning curve but it is easy to learn where everything is very quickly. I think the map needs so work though. It is too hard to see landmarks

On xbox here and enjoying myself thoroughly!
I like a lot of the new features, and am willing and able to see past any bugs so far.

I am absolutely floored, blown away by how amazing this game is. I was let down at first, the beginning scenario seemed rough and wonky and unpolished, then I got out and saw the sky and mountains and the most lush amazing world I've ever seen in a game. 6 hours have burned away without me being aware of it, and all I've done it make it to river run and I've learned to smith and read some lore books.

One of the best games I've ever played. Most amazing leap in gaming I've seen in 5-6 years.

I have my complaints but yes it is awesome so far.

Really wish they'd have put a bit more effort into the PC controls/UI though.

Na man, this game is amazing I am loving it. It has its glitches, just like any game. They will be fixed. Everyone is just being extra whiny because they love it so much so they are being over critical of it.

Just look at the reviews and consensus opinions on metacritic. The VAST majority loves this game.

This game seems to have sold exceptionally well; there are A LOT of people playing which always means there's A LOT of people pointing out the games faults, and despite being great the game does appear to have some faults.

I'm playing it on my 360 in HD graphics are mind blowing. There's alot of PC users who are having issues. No problems of any kind with my game running on Microsoft's machine.

People want perfection, which is semi-understandable, but ultimately unrealistic.
The game isn't perfect, but its damn close and far more polished than any past Bethesda game.

Bethesda did a great job with this one, and I'm sure I'll be playing it consistently until TES VI or Fallout 4.

The amount of hate it's getting doesn't seem that bad at least in comparison to the Bioware forums when Dragon Age 2 was released.

No man this game Is probably one of the best if not thee best Elder scrolls I have ever played to date.. Can anyone say Dark shade that's all I can say .. I'm doing the Mages quest so I can level my mage Just ran into a giant one swing of his weapon my mage went flying in the air doing cartwheels pretty funny.. I'm really enjoying this game All elder scroll game for me are boring the first 2-3 hrs ( not a bad thing because your breaking out of prison IMO and learning the features while doing so ) after that the game gets to be fun / entertaining.. There is a few glitches and bugs but what game doesn't have that ( no game is perfect ).. All in all I rate this game a 10 out of 10 I'll take those few glitches and bugs with a grain of salt because in my opinion it doesn't hinder the game and game play any..

Great job Bethesda and thank you for a truly amazing game..

The interface is to simple and the mouselook is horrible but apart from that im loving it i killed my third dragon on master difficulty and it was not an easy task, but challenge is what makes the game fun and even sweeter when you defeat it. i expected skyrim to be buggy but its not, only the mouse look bothers me a little, the favorite list when pressing Q makes the ui acceptable.

Skyrim is game of the year material for me no doubt and i will be playing for a very long time, i honestly think bethesda kept their word with how long the game will last if not more it all depends on your playstyle.

Lets be honest the mouse look might be terrible but it works after all, the interface in my opinion should be more like morrowind if anything, i dont think skyrim is a unfinished game unpolished in certain areas maybe.

Still way better than what oblivion was at launch.

I'm loving it to death! Such an improvement over Oblivion! And the interface is clean, simple and great! :D

Only thing that's slightly annoying is navigating in the perk trees, otherwise, so freaking amazing!
