The CW has picked up "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off "The Originals" to series.

There is a glimpse of Kol in the season 4x22 ("The Walking Dead") extended promo. Perhaps Nathaniel Buzolic will now have the opportunity to join the series regulars on "The Originals" and have the character of Kol see on screen character development. There is no indication whether or not Finn (Casper Zafer) will be coming back to be available for the spin-off in contemporary time-frame (flash backs would of course be possible).
