I was just thinking, when you talk to Paarthunax he says at one point "Krosis, apologies," making me think that krosis is dragonspeak for "I'm sorry." Thing is, I've also heard Draugr say what sounds a lot like krosis when I fight them. If all of this is true, what do you think this implies of the Draugr? Maybe instead of evil, dragon worshiping zombies they were actually enslaved by dragons/priests/cultists/necromancers/something, kind of like the subjugated ghosts in Rannveig's Fast. This might also be supported by that one Redguard necromancer in those ruins in Eastmarch who brought all the draugr to life to serve her. Who knows, maybe the Draugr are just constantly saying "I don't want to do this" but we can't understand the dragonspeak.

Krosis means sorrow in the dragon language.

I have been thinking about this myself and I think it is kinda like the undead who thank you for killing them. In (un)death they may regret binding themselves to the service of the tombs masters, whatever they might have thought in life.

Agreed, that would be "unslaad krosis" and I'm pretty sure I hear draugr say the full phrase, not just the "krosis" part. Whether they are expressing regret about their own undead state or telling you what you can expect in return for messing with them remains to be seen.

But seriously I am also of the opinion that it's similar to unwilling ghosts/thralls expressing regret and unhappiness about their current situation, over which they have no control.

I also don't think unslaad is eternal in this case, but rather unending (It can be unending, ceaseless or eternal). So Unslaad Krosis would be, "Unending Sorrow!" which makes more sense in the context that it is a battlecry of sorts.
