As I (im)patiently wait for Dawnguard (assuming it is coming out on PS3), I am trying to get characters geared up for it. So, for those of you who have played it, I would like to know 5 skills to build for each of a vampire character and a Dawnguard character to make them just right for those roles. I'm sure any character will be fine, but since I have nothing else to do, I'd like to make new ones.

So...5 best skills for a Dawnguard. And 5 best skills for a VL.

Help will be appreciated!

Well there isn't really a "perfect" character and I am not sure how efficient you are trying to make these characters but as a rough guide:

Vampire Lord: Not entirely sure if the magic skills actually effect your VL since it has it's own perk tree but raising your magicka pool would probably help.

Dawnguard: They are essentially vampire hunters so any skill that will help you kill. If you want a sort of stereotypical DG character then you could go with a warrior and work on warrior skills. (smithing, one / two handed, heavy / light armor etc)

Dawnguard: Archery, one/two handed, light/heavy armor, and smithing.

Vampire: sneak, and magic skills?

Ok, that's helpful. I didn't know if maybe mages made better vampires and warriors made better Dawnguard. Looks like I don't have to be too specific.

I have an Orc Battle-Mage for the Dawnguard, he uses the bow instead of a sword because I like it much better (It also suits in because they use Crossbows) then I use Destruction, restoration healing and against the rules, conjuration. His follower wears full Dawnguard heavy armour and he also has a Battle Troll.

All I have to say is if you are going to join the Dawngaurd, enchant your weapons with fire and shock.
