The Perfect Leveling Build. 1-81. #2

Post » Sat Aug 04, 2012 8:47 pm

WARNING: YOU REALLY NEED TO READ THIS BEFORE SCROLLING DOWN TO THE BUILD. YOU'LL MISS A LOT OF VITAL INFORMATION. ALSO, DON'T HATE ON ME OR THE OTHER POSTERS. THE GAME IS A MATURE GAME, SO TRY TO USE A LITTLE MATURITY.

Yep. It's here. I'm opening the jar of secrets to creating the perfect Skyrim character build.

Firstly, this character build is for people who like to use logic over emotion. This character *may* use some shady techniques which will be explained later, and it's only for people who can look past the "I'm a role-player not a gamer" stereotype.

Secondly, I will check back once a day or so if you have any questions. I don't mind answering your questions if it's relevant to actually helping you understanding something. You may also want to follow this topic, because I am very busy and will not be able to answer right away.

Thirdly, you can change the points around to what you like. If you don't like One-Handed+Block, save some points and put some on Two-Handed. This goes with any skill you don't want to spend points on.

Notes----------------------------------------------------------------------------

To start, you need a VERY complex system in order to make this work. You're going to need:

- A lot of time.
- A lot of gold.
- A lot of patience.
- A brain that actually works.

So here's how the build works; you'll need to start out as a warrior or an assassin, and make your way to the other two skill trees. Mage is always last.

Why is mage last? Well, this is the shady part. You're going to take advantage of Enchanting and Alchemy. I'm going to list the steps, so try and keep up.

1. You'll need to find or buy an "of Alchemy" piece. You can't do anything until you get that enchanted piece.

2. Once you have that "of Alchemy" item, you will need to disenchant it.

3. Once you have disenchanted the "of Alchemy" item, then you need to start enchanting the four items available to enchant.

4. The items you can put the Alchemy enchant on are any Rings, Necklaces, Helmets, or Gloves. In order for the enchanting to go as fast as possible, be sure to buy or find a "Grand Soul Gem" and even better, steal or buy a "Enchanter's Potion" before starting. (Make a collection of all of these items, anything from clothing to armor and save and make rings and necklaces so you'll have some to use)

5. After you have enchanted your Helmet, Necklace, Ring, and Gloves, you can now use your alchemy to create four "Fortify Enchanting" potions. (Be sure to save and wear all four of your Alchemy Items before making your four potions to increase your alchemy benefit as much as you can.

6. After you have made your four "Fortifty Enchanting" potions and are ready to make your four new Alchemy enchantments, sell your old ones and repeat steps 1-5. You will do this until you have a REALLY powerful Alchemy necklace and you can make yourself some REALLY powerful enchanting potions when you want to enchant something.

This is the important part. You can't afford to put a lot of perk points on magic skill tree, so you will need to use the Alchemy-Enchanting routine to make yourself powerful "Cost Less % to cast" enchantments, ultimately making you the world's most powerful mage Skyrim has ever seen.

Notes #2-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, without further adieu, I will make a list of notes you will need to keep track of. Under every perk, you will need to understand and perform many of them if you want them to work out.

Also, you can't power-level. If you wish to grind your skills which CAN be acceptable, make sure you don't exceed your melee and bow skills while you're earning levels.

*NOTES

Alchemy to Enchanting Ingredients: (From most common to least common)

- Snowberries
- Blue Butterfly Wing
- Spriggan Sap
- Hagraven Feathers

*ENCHANTMENTS - This should be the ideal character with all of the enchantments on your items that you're wearing.

- Anything in parentheses is my preference and completely optional. You can change any of them to something else you want.

- You need to have powerful Alchemy gear and make Enchanting Potions and at least 6 Grand Soul Gems before even attempting to make this gear.

- You can use any type of item if you don't wish to specialize in armor. Just be sure you can get a nice outfit that allows you every enchantment that you'll need. You really only need a head item and some jewelry to get the magic bonuses.

- Also note that I placed the spells in a correct place to make the items more authentic.

- Be sure to name the item all with the same first name making them easier to find. (Mages Helm, etc.)

- Head: Illusion 100%+/(Waterbreathing)
- Neck: Conjuration 100%+/Alteration 100%+
- Chest: (Health)/(Light Armor)
- Hands: (One-Handed)/(Archery)
- Ring: Destruction 100%+/ Restoration 100%+
- (Shield): (Health)/(Resist Magicka)
- Feet: (Muffle)/(Carry Weight)

*ATTRIBUTES - This is how you should place your attributes while leveling. You should look like this when you're completely naked with no buffing enchantments.

(DO NOT place any points on Magic. You won't need them.)

HP SP
100 100
160 140
220 180
280 220
340 260
400 300
460 340
500 400
500 500

End Game:

- HP: 500(+)
- SP: 500
- Carry Weight: 700(+)

*CHARACTER APPEARANCE - You must have Dawnguard and 1000 gold, and this is entirely optional.

- This is in case you like to role-play even a little bit, but ultimately this is like a badge for reaching the next level stage.

- While it is optional to use 5 stages, you can use less or more.

- This makes it really fun and interesting while you're building your character.

Here's what I used with my character while I leveled. I made the levels almost like an age.

*Level 1-20

- Short hair (Brown)
- Young complexion
- Clean Shave

*Level 21-40

- Long Hair (Brown)
- Young Complexion, Blue Small Warpaint (I've joined the Stormcloaks)
- Small beard

*Level 41-60

- Long Hair w/ Braid (Brown)
- Middle-Aged Complexion, Blue Large Warpaint
- Mid-sized facial hair

*Level 61-80

- Long Hair w/ Braid (Dark Gray)
- Middle-Aged Complexion, No Warpaint, Eye Scar
- Full Beard

* Level 81

- Long Hair w/ Braid (Gray)
- Old Complexion, Eye Scar
- Large Full Beard

*CAMPAIGNS

- This is to help guide you while you're playing and following the story.
- Ideally, you'll want to face Alduin in the final battle at a very high level (60-81)
- You can start with either the Warrior or Thief/Assassin build depending on your preferences, but I chose to start with Warrior because it follows the story line the best.

(WARRIOR) - When you start in Riverwood
- Main Storyline - Defeat the Dragon
- Companions Campaign
- Stormcloak Rebellion/Imperial Legion - Talk to the kid summoning the Dark Brotherhood (Windhelm)
- Main Campaign - Go to Riften

(THIEF/ASSASSIN) - When you get to Riften
- Thieve's Guild
- Dark Brotherhood
- Main Campaign - Until you go to Winterhold

(MAGE) - You may not have the enchantments by this time, but you can still complete the story.
- College of Winterhold
- Main Campaign

- Typically, you want to go through every dungeon you come across, take everything you'll need, and sell what you can back to the city. Most items, such as gems, jewelry, and enchanted items you should keep to make into a better item and sell for more, increasing your Speech Skill faster.

- Sell your enchanted items that you HAVE ALREADY disenchanted. Other than that, sell the potions/poisons you don't use. Everything else can be further crafted to make a lot of money.

*RULES - These are presets that I've put down to help guide you with your do's and don'ts of Skyrim.

- The three rules in parentheses is to make your Skyrim experience more challenging and Authentic. I've done the research and it is very acceptable towards Skyrim's environment if you change the difficulty at this level. You can also play on higher difficulties sooner if you want. (Remember, the higher difficulty you play on, the faster you will level.)

- (Character Level 1: Adept Difficulty)
- (Character Level 25: Expert Difficulty)
- (Character Level 50: Master Difficulty)

- Keep all Dragon Bones and Scales
- Keep all Ore and Ingots
- Keep all Necklaces and Rings
- Buy or make as many Grand Soul Gems as you can get.

* MAKING MONEY - This is to help you early on if you're struggling with making money.

- Potions are can be found and bought for cheap and any of these combinations should give you the "Damage Magicka Regen" potion, which is valued at 282(ish) gold and sells for 88 each with no perks.

- Surprisingly enough, most of the ingredients on this list only costs 6-9 gold to buy.

Buy/Keep Ingredients:
- Bear Claws
- Blue Butterfly Wing: Don't use too many! You need them for Fortify Enchanting.
- Blue Mountain Flower
- Chicken's Egg
- Glow Dust
- Hanging Moss: Look on the dead trees near Markarth! They are just hanging off of them.
- Human Heart
- Jarrin Root
- Nightshade
- Spider Egg
- Spriggan Sap: Again. Don't use too many! These are also Fortify Enchanting.

*STONES

- You'll need to get to Markarth and use "The Lover Stone" almost right away. This stone is essential for leveling fast.

- Look it up on YouTube if you don't know where The Lover Stone is.

- You can use almost any other stone that fits your play style when you hit 81. I like the Steed for 100 extra carrying weight.

Perks----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now the good part. The perks. Sometimes I'll put notes after a perk to explain why I chose it.

Remember, this build covers 15 of the 18 skill trees. The ones that I chose not to use are:

- Two-Handed, because I am using One-Handed and Block, which I think is better.

- Heavy Armor, because Light armor gives you an early access to "Unhindered" and also lets you have a unique skill called "Wind Walker," which gives you a 50% stamina regeneration bonus.

- Restoration, because you will have unlimited Magicka, you will have no need for most of the perks on this tree. Probably the only ones that will help you out are Avoid Death and Regeneration, but I chose to leave them out.

Each Rank I deemed necessary will be substituted with a (-). Be sure to count them well.

With that said, I'm beginning with combat and going to the end of the magic set.

Remember, your level stops at 81 and 1/2, allowing you 80 perk points total.

To note, these perks will make you a powerful warrior, a stealthy assassin, and the most powerful mage. Just keep that in mind while you're reading through the perks.

Also, I used a Breton as my character, so any "Magic Resistance" perk is to stack with his racial ability.

*COMBAT - 25 Perk Points

*Smithing: 5 - 5

- Steel
- Elven
- Advanced Armors
- Glass
- Dragon (This gives you access to high-armor Light and Heavy Armor, allowing you to train in both.)

*Block: 7 - 12

- Shield Wall
- Deflect Arrows
- Power Bash
- Quick Reflexes
- Deadly Bash
- Elemental Protection
- Disarming Bash

*One-Handed: 6 - 18

- - - - - Armsman
- Fighting Stance

*Archery: 7 - 25

- - - - - Overdraw
- Eagle Eye (No need to get Steady Hand, because Bow is used mostly for stealth attacks)
- Power Shot (This will give you a chance to make a second shot while they're recovering)

*STEALTH - 34 Perk Points

*Light Armor: 8 - 33

- - - - - Agile Defender
- Custom Fit
- Unhindered
- Wind Walker

*Sneak: 3 - 36

- Stealth (You only need one point because you should be taking long shots with your bow. Also this perk only goes up to 20%-40%, so no need to spend the extra points)
- Backstab
- Deadly Aim (This perk is all you need to make deadly stealth kills)

*Lockpicking: 9 - 45

- - - - Novice/Apprenctice/Adept/Expert
- Quick Hands (This will help you out during Thieve's Guild/Dark Brotherhood quests)
- Treasure Hunter (This perk is useful for getting extra valuable items. It could be anything from an iron sword to a Dragonplate Cuirass)
- Locksmith
- Unbreakable (You only need one lockpick with this perk. All you need is a little patience. You also won't need Master rank with this perk)

*Pickpocket: 3 - 48

- Light Fingers
- Night Thief
- Extra Pockets (Who doesn't want 100 extra carrying weight?)

*Speech: 6 - 54

- Haggling (This perk goes from 20% to 40%, only worth one point)
- Allure
- Merchant
- Investor (Who doesn't want an extra 500 gold for your favorite merchants to barter with?)
- Fence (This is really helpful when you're in deep with the thieve's guild.
- Master Trader (Who doesn't want all the Merchants in Skyrim to have 1,000 extra gold?)

*Alchemy: 5 - 59

- Alchemist (While it's good to put all 5 perks in, the steps I said will save you 8 perk points)
- Physician
- Poisoner
- Concentrated Poison
- Green Thumb (This allows you more ingredients, AND helps you level faster. Although you could save a lot of points and just forget about Alchemy altogether, it isn't a wise decision)

*MAGIC - 21 Perk Points

The reason why I chose to put ANY points in magic is so you get the super awesome benefits of being a mage. While they work well for a Breton, they may not be the choice for you.

*Illusion: 4 - 63

- Novice
- Animage (This will help you cast Illusion spells better on animals)
- Kindred Mage (This will help you cast Illusion spells better on people)
- Quiet Casting (Unlimited Magicka, AND a super awesome stealth mage? This choice is obvious)

*Conjuration: 5 - 68

- Novice
- Summoner
- Atromancy
- Elemental Potency
- Twin Souls (One makes you powerful, two and you will almost never be touched)

*Destruction: 3 - 71

- Novice
- Dual Casting
- Impact (This skill makes your destruction spells easier to use)

*Alteration: 5 - 76

- - Novice/Apprentice
- - - Magic Resistance (Obviously the choice for a Breton)

* Enchanting: 4 - 80

- Enchanter (While it's good to put all 5 perks in, the steps I said will save you 8 perk points)
- Insightful Enchanter
- Corpus Enchanter
- Extra Effect (Yeah, you're going to need this if you want to perfect the build)

You're welcome. Now, I'm going to get back to my game.

You could have just updated this one(it's still on the first page.) or post this OP as a comment in it.

I don't really understand the point of this thread other than telling people how you play.

This isn't a min/max build or anywhere near it and people who want to roleplay will create and develop their own characters rather than following a guide.

If you want to roleplay, then look up roleplaying topics instead of wasting your time on this one. -_-
