The real difference P2P vs B2PF2P models

Hopefully this will put an end to this debate:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/8713870/World_of_Warcraft_Patch_52_The_Thunder_King_Round-Up-2_27_2013

It is a small preview of the new Free Patch in WoW. It is NOT an expansion although it might as well be one, it is just a Free Patch. Blizzard calls them patches but they might as well be new games. These patches happen ever 2-4 months and you have never seen any like that in any B2P/F2P game.

Compare that to ANY F2P/B2P content updates. THERE IS NO COMPARISON.
Blizzard is releasing in just a Free Patch with an entire New Zone, FOUR New Raids with multiple Top-Tier quality Boss enounters, New Factions, New Reputations, New Questlines, New World Bosses, extensive overhaul of classes, multiple Gear Tiers, New Dailies, tons of new Fluff, counteless of new items etc. etc. For a more complete description of Patch 5.2 you can check http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/

Thats the real difference between P2P and B2P/F2P games. One offers breathtaking and massive high-quality frequent content and ther other offers tiny minor updates for a static and stale world.

Personally, I am confident ESO will be P2P because Zenimax has already discussed how ESO will offer world-class service.

They are NOT free.

You pay a monthy Subscription, and deserve content, with no new content, the player-base dwindles.

I'd much rather have a P2P, because it sorts out most of the weirdo's that creep on F2P's.

Last thing I want to come across in my game, is a weirdo.

But no, you are wrong, 100%. Its not a free patch because its P2P. 15.99 a month = more content.

One example isn't enough to make a case. If you want to prove superiority of the P2P model, you need to present several games, preferably made by dfferent developers.

I think its obvious that saying Free means Free with Subscription. Otherwise those games would not be P2P to begin with.

Same thing with Trion Worlds and Rift. For years they have been pumping out similar quality content updates.

The last true P2P game is EVE, but I am not very familiar with that. Hopefully someone else can discuss what EVE is doing in a exchange for a subscription.

Hmm, everyone has done and do this? Problem is usually people leave ALOT faster than anyone expect. (or go to wow..) I honestly think they should just give pre-launch/first month offers, like 60-80 a year and see how much money they get and use it to pump out content.

Trust me when I say this, current trend is to add content even at faster pace, Im sure it happens here too, Trion Worlds adds content (zones, raids, dungeons, rifts, zone events ALL free) every 6 week.

Compare the amount of people in WoW to that of any F2P/B2P game. THERE IS NO COMPARISON.

WoW can only have massive updates because it's by far the most successful, in part because it's P2P, and also in part because of the large playerbase. No P2P game without players can afford massive updates like WoW, so you can't compare it to P2P games that went F2P, because they had a lack of people to begin with. You're comparing the population of the people on the moon vs. the earth, WoW is so far out there away from other MMOs, you can't possibly use it in another MMO other than how unsuccessful it in comparison.

Until there's another MMO that can get that kind of content out with a smaller playerbase, there's no point in trying to stop the F2P/B2P vs P2P arguments. Please stop using flawed logic to try and win an argument, WoW can almost never be used to win a F2P vs P2P argument.
