The Rorikstead Infiltartion

Day 1:
I arrived in Rorikstead, masquerading as a simple farmhand, finding the inn was of little challenge, this pitiful village contains but 4 buildings. The inn keeper, Mralki, was in a heated debate with his son, Erik, about not letting the kid run off to get himself killed as an adventurer. "Good, I could use this to my favor" I thought as I interrupted the argument to rent a room for a meager 10 gold.
I spent the rest of the day wandering around the village and learn as much as I could from the inhabitants.

Rorik patrols his village daily, goes out to both farms, and drifts off into the north western wilderness in order to gain an elevated view of his propery... oh yes, he owns all the land. He takes his evening meal at the inn, then leaves straight to his manor, at the north most of the settlement.

Mralki spends his whole days at the inn, it will be hard to get him out in the open, but his struggle with his son could play to my advantage...

Erik is Mralki's son and works at the Lemkil farm, his pathetic life comes down to two things, working and lazing around his fathers inn. I was taken aback by the fact that he recognizes his life as pathetic and asked, no, begged me to convince his father to let him leave.

Lemkil is the least pleasant of these people, his wife died after giving birth to his two daughters, who he beats regularly. He works at his farm during the day, heads to the inn between 6 to 8pm for dinner the leaves during the night, taking a small detour by the cows outside the inn as he stubbles home, drunk as a sailor... This will be my best time to strike.

Reldith and Ennis keep mostly to themselves, but offered me a job at their farm, southmost of the village. Ennis views Reldith as his mother, it took all of my willpower to not smile at the thought of what I could inflict upon him as he told me...

Day 2:
I woke up early, ordered an apple pie and ate it slowly, contemplating the layout of the inn, warming myself to the fire pit in the center.
Once outside, I tended to the farm, as instructed by Reldith, collected the weat, worked the grain mill, harvested chicken eggs, fed the goat...
and so went the day, I had to build up trust with these people, make them see me as one of them, a member of their great "family"... Oh how wrong they were.
Around noon, I spotted three imperials approaching town with a Stormcloak prisoner in tow. The two guards on duty foolishly attacked. When the dust settled, the prisoner was lying in a pool of his own blood, one guard had taken 3 arrows to the chest, and one to the bicep, blood poured out of the neck of the other. The imperials took over the village, keeping a close eye on the villagers and monitoring every movement on the roads. This quickly became a problem for me when they took a keen interest in why a wood elf was on the farm. They forced me to carry the bodies of the fallen away.
I found a spot behind the inn with fresh earth and so I decided to turn it into a graveyard. Little did they know that this would soon become the most populated part of town...

Day 3:
The imperial scum is still present, I was forced to keep up appearances all day...
Reldith gave me a woodcutters axe and instructed me to cut some planks for the chicken pen, which had been falling apart.

Day 4:
Finally the imperials left. I spent the day thinking of what will happen that night...
As the noises died down in the inn, I saw Lemkil stumble out of the door. I quickly excused myself, under the pretense that all this talk of the cost of armor (Mralki's latest excuse to not send his son away) inspired me to try my hand at making some leather. As the cold outside air brushed my face, my mind went numb with the excitement towards the kill. I slowly creeped up behind my prey, my beloved Blade of Woe shook with excitement in my left hand, the woodaxe in my right... A stab in the spine is all it took for him to fall.
Now I feared that the townsfolk would leave after discovering a murder in their community, so I dragged his still warm body to the grain mill, hauled him onto the track and crushed his waist under the stone wheel. Before leaving, I planted a bottle of Black-Briar mead in his hand.
It took me but seconds to create the leather that served as my alibi, years of experience tending to my armor has given me this skill, and this didn't even need to be well done, I just said it was my first time...

Day 5:
I awakened to a child's scream, the body had been found.
Just as planned, Rorik puts it down to a drunken accident, and with no force of law still present in the village, he asked me to move the body to the graveyard. Good, the towns people suspect nothing...
Back at the inn, I gave Mralki 416 gold coins to buy armor for his son.

Day 6:
The farm work had gotten easier, the extra hand on the farm allowed the harvest to be complete a day early, so today was just little maintenance work and playing with the goat. Emmis is very fond of her, and even named her Greta.
At dusk, I left the inn under pretense that I worried about the now orphans still living in Lemkil's home. The Blade of Woe rested tonight as I used the blunt side of the woodaxe to knock Emmis cold. A few drops poison is all it took to end him. I quickly set it up to make it look like he got rammed by the goat before running to the Lemkil farm to clean up, I then calmly walked back into the inn. I mentioned seeing Emmis playing with the goat as I said goodnight...

Day 7:
A week in, 2 out of 7 dead. I had already started to see the townspeople change, they bore grief on their shoulders. Reldith spent the whole workday grieving her lost 'son', which had given me an idea, cliche' as it might be, suicides are easy to stage under these conditions...
I continued working past dinner time, then slowly made my way towards my target, planted the Blade of Woe in her gut as terror silenced her. I made quick work of the goat, making sure to let it scream before dying.
The commotion attracted attention from the inn, and as the remaining villagers gathered on the porch, I ran back to them screaming of Reldiths suicide. These fools were easy to trick...

Day 8:
At this point, it became hard to recall what I did during the day, countless hours of farm work at both farms, under Roriks request.
Before Jouane left the inn that evening, I planted a dagger in his possession. leaving the inn was no longer a problem, they had taken to the the idea that I just wanted to be alone now and then. I stalked my future victim till he was close far away enough from the inn to not be heard (the drunken chanting inside helped) and Thu'um'd him... The plan worked perfectly, and he drew his last cold breath as the dagger pierced his heart.
Day 9:
Rainy day, spent the whole day at the inn, where Erik greeted me in some sort of mangled iron armor. We talked till twilight, then I excused myself as Rorik prepared to leave. I met him on the front porch, he paid little attention to me, and kept his eyes firmly on the road ahead of him. The rain had cleared. I coldly walked 10 paces behind him all the way to the campfire. He knew there was no escape, he knew now that these deaths were no accidents; I wanted him to realize what had happened before I cut him down... The aurora borealis was as beautiful as I'd ever seen it when I kicked his lifeless body into the fire.

There was no need to wait another day. I walked back to the inn, hired Erik for 500 gold coins and ordered him to wait outside, couldn't have a witness now could I? That would have been a stain on my record. Once alone with Mralki, it was childs play to slit his arteries. I dragged his body into the fire pit, then proceeded to call Erik back. The blade fell before he even realized what fueled his beloved fire. Like father, like son they burnt and kept me warm as I destroyed any evidence of my presence in the now ghost town.

As I left for Whiterun, my thoughts drifted to the two children of the village, Sissel and her bully sister Britte. Maybe they will grow up into a better climate than the wretched village of Rorikstead, but if not, my blade awaits them...
