I have Lakeview and after spending a lot of time trying to make everything myself I finally gave in and paid my steward to furnish the house.

As each part of the manor was completed (I checked the workbench to see what could be made) I removed the workbenches. Everything got finished except the 2 Large safes in the cellar. A couple months in-game have gone by and still no safes (their option still shows up on the bench).

Are the safes something I have to make myself or will the steward eventually have them added?

EDIT: I noted that none of the shrines are being built on their own either.

I ended up building them myself. My lakeview manor's steward has taken FOREVER to furnish the home. She still hasn't and I don't know why not. She's living in a large mostly empty house.

I had actually made most things myself first. Then I got tired of trying to find the last of the items needed to make the remaining stuff and hired the steward to do the rest. It took a couple weeks but things started appearing around the house. That finished a long time ago and the only workbench that still shows anything missing is the cellar one and the safes. Not sure those are going to be made.

If you want a job doing properly do it yourself........

Not sure about the safes, but the steward will build the shrine base, but not the shrines. You have to do those yourself as you get the various amulets for them.
