The point of this thread is simple: to come in and show off the specs to your current PC and (hopefully) have other people tell you how good your PC is! Think of it as the official tech-nerd ego-boost thread! And yes, I know that there is THE OFFICIAL COMMUNITY TECH THREAD, but I feel like this subject deserved its own thread as it doesn't really have to do with asking questions or posting benchmarks on hardware, but is rather a nice, simple place to talk about your rig with fellow enthusiasts.
DISCLAIMER: If you have any tech-related questions, please direct them to the official community tech thread. This thread is for sharing and discussing your current rig, not asking for recommendations or opinions on what the best hardware is.
Alright, now that that's out of the way we can get down to business. So go ahead, tell us about your gaming rig, why you got a certain part (amazing deal, AMD/Intel really devoted fan/girl, etc.), the price of your rig (if you're bold enough!) and anything else you care to share!

Spoiler
Not bad at all! What kind of performance do you get out of that i5 and HD 7870 combo?
What video card do you think you'll be going after?
Wow, 11 different PCs? What do you use them all for, if I may ask? And also, the specs on this desktop are still pretty good, especially seeing as you're running THREE 660ti's!
Well here goes...
- AsRock Z77 Extreme 4
- i5-3570k @ 4.4 GHz, cooled by a Hyper 212 EVO
- Sapphire HD 7870 @ 1150 MHz core clock, 1375 MHz vRAM
- 8 GB G. Skill DDR3-1333 RAM
- 1 TB Samsung HDD
- PC Power and Cooling Silencer MK III 600W PSU
- Cooler Master HAF 912 Case
I got the hardware I have because I feel they were the best combination of performance and cost at the time of purchase.

In my sig. Only thing different is I've replaced one of the SSD's (80 GB) with one a bit larger. Tax time comes around, and I might upgrade my video card to something a little less dated.

I have 7 desktops and 4 laptops. Which one do you want?
Desktop with the highest specs
i7-980X @ 3.8
3x GTX660Ti overclocked
GT640
EVGA X58 Classified 4-way SLI mobo
8GB DDR3-1600
SeaSonic X1250 Gold+ modular PSU
HAF X case
It doesn't play many games these days, but it folds like a demon (137K PPD)

Here's hoping this thread lasts longer than the last
