The Steam Community Update : Othor Games

There is a pretty major update to the Steam Community service with a shiny new friends page and some more community features including individual forums for groups. If you wanted to try the beta but did not get a code yet, I have one left. I haven't had a lot of time to explore the new stuff so I don't really have an opinion on it yet but anyone else that has had a chance to check it out, feel free to weigh in.

Also, on a semi-unrelated note, I have a 75% off coupon for Portal 2 if anyone wants it, just send me a PM and it is yours.

The Steam servers must be under a heavy load becuase I can't get to any of the pages (store, friends, community, etc). Either that , or my work computer just svcks, which could very well be the case. Anyway, I will send you the beta invite as soon as I can.

I got one of those Portal 2 coupons too, didn't even know why it appeared.

Same here. I already gave it to one of my sons. I also have 5 Half Life 2 coupons that I never knew I had. If there's anyone in the world that doesn't have HL2, message me either here or in Steam.

Sounds good. But what I really want from Steam right now is a more reliable offline mode and a volume slider for trailers.

I really need to make a new steam account can't use my current one anymore cause I forgot the password. What did the update actually do? A few things I want/need are:
-Working offline mode
-Being able to hide friends list and game hours without having to have it in private mode
-No adverts?

Any of these fixed yet?
