If it's like Fallout & Oblivion you can finish the main quest in 10 hours

Tip don't play the main story till you've exhausted all the sub quest in the game where the main meat of the game is

Yep, Skyrim has the possibly the shortest main questline of the TES series, with only 20 quests, which ties it with Oblivion, and less than the 25 of Morrowind and 32 of Daggerfall, though arguably more than the 18-or-so of Arena, though its quests took far longer.

Quality > Quantity.

Do the guild quests too. It's like 5 games in one.
