The strongest most naturally talented warriors?

Post » Mon Aug 05, 2013 2:43 pm

I was talking more about fear due to physical looks rather than psychological shock of seeing what your enemy can do.

It's the difference of seeing a starving lion bearing sharp fangs and Bruce Willis brandishing a light machine gun. Both can rip you to shreds, but you generally are not scared by Bruce Willis with light machine gun compared to a lion with sharp fangs

....You really don't like me eh? Is it because of that lore thread? lol. What I say tends to have an actual basis on lore. Say what you want about me and my opinions, but I don't make stuff up and use non existing links from the ES wiki.

edit: Saw your fix. check the snow prince book. No one says she dies. This is false.

Ah, well no one can deny orcs are ugly.

I mean it's not like the description for the Redguards in Skyrim says "the most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel" or anything..

Sadly, ugly and scary seem to go hand on hand like fire and smoke. You can produce smoke without any visible fire, but a fire will always produce smoke. You can be scary without being ugly, but when you're ugly, you're bound to be scary

Orcs are the mixture of both fire and a helluva lot of smoke.

For bretons maybe, which is why they need redguard help.

Been fixed the link.

I don't dislike anybody that I don't personally know but your bias opinions & lack of evidence to support those biased opinions are annoying.

Like saying your opinion being based on Lore an opinion in itself. Nothing personal, you unnecessarily strip the value of your word/perspective.

That claim is not cited, and it's ES wiki.

Either way, doesn't matter. A 12 year old throwing a sword at someone distracted, while single-handedly and flawlessly killing dozens of Nords simultaneously without breaking a sweat, is hardly impressive. She got in a lucky throw. Color me amazed. I could give two septims worth a damn what happened to her later. The death of her savage genocidal mother will have left a mark on the miserable brat. Good.

I give evidence, you just choose to ignore it. And read the snow prince book. She doesn't die, and there is no source that says she does. ES wiki is a poor source.

Speaking of biased opinions with no evidence to back them up:

Well the OP didn't say the races had to be Tamriellic so I go with the Tsaesci and Kamal. The Tsaesci trashed Morrowind, Skyrim and High Rock one after the other without breaking a sweat until Vivec got pissed off and CHIM them out of Tamriel.

Ignore it? I see no links, no quotes, no cited sources.

I'm not sure what kind of a air head says "blah blah blah, believe me because its based on fact" and expect a free thinking individual (or anybody besides a child for that matter) just to believe them.

First of all, I never said you had to believe my opinions. Second of all:

Third:

And now to avoid getting attention from mods, I'll be ignoring you since all you seem to do is send personal attacks.

Nothing like this has occurred when facing Orcs. Infact, a whole Knightly order dedicated to murdering Orcs was formed by Bretons? Or Redguards. I forgot which. Meanwhile, an entire race sold themselves to the Dwemer to avoid the hatred of Nords.

Oh boy, a guy who doesn't work for Bethesda said something that hasn't been substantiated by anyone from Bethesda or any games/licensed products. Whoever shall we believe?

Yes, I am. Nords scared an entire race into fleeing to what they knew was certain doom. Orcs have never accomplished anything like that. You can say the Orcs were outnumbered during the era of those Knights, but the Nords were too. 500 Companions versus an entire region's worth of Falmer.

That knightly order was also founded by Diagna, the same person who taught a couple swordsman how to wipe out a Mer empire four times the size of Tamriel.

Then I guess Talos isn't the most powerful being in TES then because that source also comes from him

All I'm saying is, the Orcs have never accomplished what the Nords have. The Falmer were literally scared into selling themselves to the Dwemer. They didn't know what would happen, but they knew it would be bad if the Falmer books are any example.

The Falmer aren't exactly as strong or as fearless as the Redguards the Orcs faced you know...

You're still comparing apples with oranges.

Orcs had to go against the order of Diagna. A race of philosphers had to go up against a devil horde from the frozen hell.

What you have to realize is the difference between that and say the dragons helping the 500 is the talos thing was his guess based on his understanding of lore. The dragons thing was something he invented. See the difference? Not saying it isnt possible, as we dont know what Beth will make canon later. But there's a difference.

Heh. ES wiki, reliable. That's a good one. And you provided another instance of why it's the last place anyone goes to check lore facts. There's no record of the 12 year old girl dying. So, pick another theme on which to make your snide points, because in this one you fell in it pretty badly.

As to the OP, the Nords. Despite the redguard being talented and possessing nuclear swords, that's a magical art and not a warrior art, and isn't outweighed by some of the more fantastical exploits of the Tongues. The deciding factor is that the redguard let themselves be subjugated, and the Nords were one of those doing the subjugating. They also got their tails handed to them in the War of Bend'r Mahk and that was with Breton backup. If you need the weenie Bretons to take some land and even then you can't do it, you're hurting. Props to them for resisting the Thalmor and not backing down just because the imperials said boo.

You're inviting others to believe you by participating & presenting your opinion in the first place. Don't care if I don't believe you? Don't respond, don't engage, it's that simple

You're asking me to go dig for something you don't even have yourself.

Cops don't arrest and convict with evidence that the judge or jury has to look for, it is presented otherwise there's no case.
