Does anyone else find that the textures actually do a really good job of looking detailed? Despite being low res, I can't help but perceive them as looking good unless I'm up really close.

I agree, that's a tricky little illusion Bethesda has used there.

Close up looks awful but they are still pretty good. Some are really good.
