The Three Stooges movie.

Here's the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1R4b04mxOs if you've been fortunate enough to not see it.

I... I don't even know how something like this could be made.. it's a complete insult to the original show(which was actually FUNNY), and the fact that they put the jersey shore cast in it just makes me wanna explode like a billion atomic bombs.... I can't even think of anything else to say about this pile of failure.

Also, here's a http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1166711-the-three-stooges/page__p__17174127__hl__three%20stooges__fromsearch__1#entry17174127 about the show, but I figure it would be better to discuss the movie here.

To be honest I've never seen while the three stooges were ever considered great comedy. I appreciate it as a classic, but more on par with Beverly Hillbillies than Monty Python.

Seeing as this is on the film, not the classic show, that trailer indeed looks awful. I'm not one to bash on something simply because the original was good, but really? That's the best three guys they could get? Was Rowan Atkinson on vacation or something?

Looks pretty accurate to me. I never thought they were very funny to begin with. I mean, it was just a bunch of slapstick and puns, and the new movie seems to consist of exactly that. Even if Stooges fans approved of this film, I still wouldn't watch it.

The show was made for the 50's, the formula hasn't really translated well. The movie is a bit of a reflection of slapstick fading into obscurity. Of course, it can still be funny with the right people, which obviously haven't been chosen.

I hate Slapstick comedy. It`s like the writers just hire mentally challenged monkeys to write the script.

Stooge blasphemers! :P

Anyhow, movie seemed mediocre at best. When I saw the Jersey Shore cast, it transitioned into terrible.

As a huge 3 Stooges fan I like the fact there is still enough interest in them to this day to make a movie. Any remakes will never satisfy me like the original cast but it does make me curious how they will implement them in the modern age. I will not watch the movie on the big screen but will eventually see it when it’s on dvd on sale somewhere.

I probably won't ever see this movie. Never liked the original show. I think it's more for the elderly. :P

Three stooges had its time. I'm sure there's a good fan market but not much else.

I'll probably be joining you, I love The Three Stooges and the cast they got for, look (Larry's questionable) close to the original cast members.

I'm pretty critical of this movie as I grew up with the Stooges. However, I'm pretty sure they only included the Shore cast as a joke. Besides, the Farrely brothers have a decent reputation for movies. If it gets good reviews I'll definitely go see it.

I can really respect them for wanting to turn a new generation on to the Stooges.

Kinda---the original Three Stooges where the first ones to introduce the slap stick gag and others like Laurel and Hardy picked up on it----I think.

I saw the previews in the theater... clearly, Hollywood has run out of ideas. I mean, trying to revive a 1930's vaudeville act into a 21st century full length movie...

Speaking of the 3 Stooges, when I was in college, one night, I got together with some friends for an all-nighter before a mid-term. We also had a few "choice advlt consumables" during the study session (hey, it was New Orleans, don't judge :) ) Anyway, at around 7-7:30 AM, someone turned the tv on, and the Three Stooges was showing. before that morning, I may have chuckled at a Three Stooges show before changing the channel, but that morning, I literally peed my pants laughing, and was actually on the floor holding my gut. All of us were. I guess the moral of the story is, if you are planning on going to see this movie, ingest a few "choice advlt consumables" in advance.

Oh, no. Charles Chaplin and Harold Lloyd were already stars way before the Stooges even got together, although the Stooges brand of slapstick was bit different than of Chaplin and Lloyd. With Chaplin and Lloyd, things happened around them, more like stunts; with the Stooges, it was more about inflicting pain on one another, and the silly noises.

I am pretty sure others came before Chaplin and Lloyd, but Chaplin and Lloyd took advantage of the film medium which was new in the 1900s-1910s.

Sorry I forgot about Charles Chaplin----never heard of Harold Lloyd.

Hahah, the Joe's were absolutely terrible back in the day.

The Three Stooges are comedic giants. They invented and perfected slapstick. This movie looks like a mortal sin, but I'll probably see it anyway.

Now excuse me...but, where are those three chandelier hangers I hired?

The movie was terrible 90 mins of the Stooges is to much. If it was a like a short made for tv movie or something it would have been good but just way too much Stooges.

The original show is still fairly funny to me, which is the level of funny it's always been to me. I won't watch this film. It's not just a disgrace, but I don't support the people in it, financially or otherwise.

Just another example desperation in Hollywood. Most current films are about as unoriginal and uninspired as most current music.
