On the topic of animations

Seems like all the other threads either reached their limits or have been locked by moderators.

A lot of ppl ask to give examples as to what some of us believe to be wrong with the animations instead of just saying "the animations are bad!". I personally didn't give examples because I thought they were pretty obvious throughout the entire pvp video.

My biggest problem with the animations are not that they look weird or odd or out of place. It's simply that they seem to be missing frames to make the movements fluid. For the most part, the walking and running animations seem pretty good to me. It's mostly the fighting animations that seem to be affected. You'll notice that when someone swings a weapon, in a lot of cases, it looks like the weapon goes from the start position to the end position with barely any frames in between. The motion does not look fluid at all. Same goes with certain skills/abilities. I've noticed this in the pvp video as well as in other videos released by ZOS and even some leaked gameplay videos where there were not many players on screen. This indicates that the choppy animations or "missing frames" are not a result of FPS drops.

It's important that these matters be brought to the attention of ZOS Devs. They are creating a AAA MMO which will hopefully be played by millions of players worldwide. Ppl who buy a game knowing they must also pay $15 / month expect the game to meet a certain standard and if there is a problem seen during beta, it's very important to voice our opinions about said problem while there is still time to fix it.

Some ppl may think myself or others who claim the animations are "terrible" are just haters, but I want this game to succeed like everyone else. Yes.. I have a strong opinion and maybe I exaggerate a little, but the true thing that plagues video games like ESO during the beta phase are the "White Knights" who just shut down any negative feedback and call ppl "haters" or "trolls". That kind of behaviour does not help a game improve in anyway. Even if ppl exaggerate about the percieved problem, it's important that ZOS knows there is a problem, so it can be fixed promptly, and hopefully before launch.

They are locked by moderators a for a reason, usually so they are not discussed anymore. You should check and see if they locked it, because you will be in big trouble if they said not to do it again
