The Unofficial Kickstarter (and other funding sites) thread

I thought that rather than having a new thread for every little Kickstarter or other funded project, we could discuss the smaller ones here, then if they get big enough they can have their own thread. So, what projects have caught your eye? These are the ones I'm backing/interested in:

http://www.rockethub.com/projects/7509-projet-crevette-save-children-from-disease - A project to eliminate a debilitating parasite from west African rivers by re-introducing a native species of prawn that died out following a dam construction. It will not only help eradicate this disease-causing parasite, but it will also provide a source of food and income for the local people. (NOTE: Unlike Kickstarter, the project doesn't have to be fully backed for them to get the money, as soon as you donate, that's it).

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/celsiusgs/drifter-a-space-trading-game - First, http://celsiusgs.com/ks/Drifter800px.jpg. Gorgeous. If you enjoyed games like Elite and Privateer, you'll definitely want to check this one out. A 2.5D game with some very pretty space graphics, and music by the composer of games such Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac, and Cave Story 3D. They've just added stretch goals for a professionally-designed UI, a Linux version, hijackable ships, and atmospheric flight.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/379113968/spate: A 2.5D platformer with a murder mystery set in a noir, steampunk world created by one of the artists of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Not backing this one myself because it's not really my sort of game, but its world design is something I'd like to see more of.

I was thinking of starting a thread like this as well. Good idea.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/waysidecreations/fallout-nuka-break-season-2-0/posts/228528. It's a great series based on the Fallout universe. First there was one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9UwlAAnlmg&feature=plcp, followed by http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5E9CAB444A9CECB8&feature=plcp. I highly recommmend watching those. Now they want to fund season 2 through Kickstarter.

They've already reached their goal of $60k, but if they reach $120k then Fallout devs Tim Cain and Chris Avellone will not only help with the writing of season 2, but also both appear in the series. And of course the production values in general will be higher.

I was thinking about backing them, but I'm kind of topped out when it comes to kickstarters this year (thank you very much, Wasteland 2 and Shadowrun), and it looks like they'll probably make the $120k mark with ease considering they've still got a month to go and are already at almost $90k.
