Yeay, new thread! :)

(For a while I was thinking that maybe these threads should have the subtitle "aka the Skyrim Manflesh thread", but lately the last thread actually was mostly about Ulfric, so I guess it's not needed :D)

Anyway, as I have an unhealthy interest in the clothes and outfits of Skyrim, I've always wondered what Ulfric's clothes would look like if he took of that cloak - it must be terribly heavy walking around with it on all day.

It would maybe at least partly explain how he can be so fit when he mostly sits on a throne, though. :P

Would it look like a robe perhaps? like royal or something? I'm sure the fur has got to be heavy which is why my characters only equip it when in the cold or in damp caves/crypts. But I bet he gets his work out without that fur on. Sitting on the throne is just his day time activity.

I think I'm going to be spending some time around the forge and craft him up some stuff and let you guys pick what you think works. I'm steering from steel plate. Farkas wears that. Poor Farkas... the she wolf may have strayed but she will always return home.

I mentioned this in the other thread but a Stormcloak armor/horse saddle mod came out with a mini stormcloak quest. Armor is male only at the moment. Tom who used to post pics in the screenshots mentioned it. I found it had come out just the other day. The stormcloak armor has like a wilderness/explorer look to it. I will have to try that with him and see how it compliments her gear.

Yeah I'm a guy but I like the couple to match even if that means I gotta play dress up. :D

I was more thinking about the whole cloak - it looks like chainmail (which is weird for a cloak, isn't it?), the fur is rather small and wouldn't be very heavy. Underneath, he has that briastplate-looking thing (that seems to be fabric or possibly thin leather, since it has no armor rating - it looks more like leather in the female version, or Korir's version which is a different color) that's tied with some leather straps, and whatever is underneath that - a shirt or something - is brown and has long sleeves (sticking out from beneath the cloak).

As I said, an unhealthy interest in the clothing of Skyrim. :P

Can only imagine the fun your going to have when you get a PC and Skyrim for it. the clothing options not to mention the fact you can create your own with the supplied creation kit. oh my.

I know... :D I've heard that the options aren't as good as they might be, though - lots of non lorefriendly things (not my cup of tea) and lots of really skimpy things (tavern clothes is enough, thank you). I haven't looked into it, though.

I think that I have figured out how to make Erandur equip ordinary clothes and non-hooded robes, though, something he so far has refused. :)

It depends on how you look and what you look for. There is a LOT of armor mods and a good majority of them are lore friendly and retextures of vanilla armor. Granted I have a skimpy version of all vanilla armor mod installed but there are more modest versions of the same mod. Though it is hard to find armor mods that match the body mod (should you use one) Which is why since I'm sticking to lore friendly armor with Salessi, you don't see her in skimpy stuff... though Ulfric does heh. There just isn't good armor mods that are modest that match the CBBE body mod I use. So I use a couple retextures.

Sadly there is no good armor mods for Dawnguard. everyone turned their attention on vampire stuff. Maybe she'll just have to kill some vamps in ancient nord armor.

As for Ulfric. I wonder if I put him in different armor from his own if he'll keep his clothes on when she leaves him at the Palace of the Kings. As long as he is a follower he remains clothed. But as soon as I dismiss him and zone out of the area and then back... its like he's prepping himself for her arrival. :P
