The weirdest latency issue ever

I have the weirdest video latency issue ever.

It only occurs either 1) when in sneak mode, or 2) when in an inventory while looking down... It makes inventory management, and sneak, very tedious. And it makes lockpicking impossible.

Now, I suspect it's something, somewhere, in the gameplay. I say this as I go back to earlier saves (read Level 8) with the same character and the exact same mods, and the issue, when replicated at the exact same position in the game world, does not occur. The error started cropping up close to when I hit level 28. At both times in the game the main quest is at the exact same progression (I save the main quest as an end game thing). I have also tried this on other tunes, and it does not occur.

I have zero issues with this kind of video latency when moving normally (my system has the nuts to handle skyrim at ultra). I have tried reducing the video settings but to no avail, and since this problem does not appear on an earlier toon in the exact same world position doing the exact same actions, I can't believe it's a video issue.

So, I suspect something else... Inventory memory leak? Some weird quest bug?

Has anyone seen this before?

Sounds like it might be some sort of script lag - are you running any mods that add lots of NPCs or other scripted objects?

Not really. And each of the earlier saves also utilize the exact same mods. I recently re-installed on my new gaming pc, deleted all existing saves, and started from scratch after installing all of the mods I would use for the game.

Right now, I suspect it's some kind of inventory thing, since I tend to pack rat.

Could be - try dumping all of your stuff into a nearby container, and see if it improves.

I've never personally had that problem, but I have had instances where the mouse becomes unresponsive and I have to restart the game. This usually only happens when I'm fiddling around with outfits, poses and console commands to take screenshots, though.
