The 'When Seemingly Great Days Go Bad and Vice Versa' Thread

Post » Wed Mar 27, 2013 8:41 pm

So anyone have any really great days that went bad or really had bad days that turned out great lately?

Whiny story ahead. Feel free to skip.
Spoiler

Had a great 8am-6pm today. Got some stuff done, hung out with friends I hadn't seen in 4 months, surfed with them and had a great surf session, hung out a little bit longer then went home. Planned to drink amd hang out some more. Two of them had their girls crack the whip on em and the other two ended up getting caught up in other things.

Now I am back to thinking about my damned break with my girl of two years. Which is a drag. It was mutual, but there is little closure and some frustration at lack of contact. Which makes a guy wonder doesn't it? This isn't all that bad, but the day started out GREAT and ended on a sour note. Which makes it all the more acute. To top it off I am bored as [censored]. Video games are sadly not an option at my location right now.

Anyone else have some bipolar days? Feel free to discuss.

Speaking of those, the best way to start a day for me, is when I get arrested, accidentally kill someone or all of the above, and then wake up realizing it was all a dream :D

I prefer cat videos. And luckily, thanks to the growing power and influence of the internet, there's never a shortage of those. ;)

Cat videos can make something the worst and best part of your day all at once?

Impressive. I bow to their superior feline powers.

My girlfriend likes to put my mood swings down to "man-periods" and it's "my time of the week again" compared to her monthly swings.
When I came back home after a few months working in France I had to take my driving test, and on the same day I had my first date with Pamela since I left. The would have been great, passing the test and seeing my girl over a nice meal. Failed the test due to someone coming round the corner while (I faced the other way) doing my reverse round the corner, because I was under pressure I couldn't say why I never stopped for them (facing the back window)...but that aside, I failed the test. Wasn't in the best of moods after that since I should have passed (£121 out my pocket for another go).
Then the time game to get ready for the date.. I wore my grey suit black shirt and she wore a beautiful black/purple dress, looked gorgeous. I let her choose the restaurant (Italian was her choice), now in all the time we've been together we've never visited an Italian restaurant before...I know nothing but spaghetti bolognese and pizza, so I felt crappy for getting something so 'meh'. If this was homemade I'd have finished it within 10mins, I never even finished half the spaghetti or my drink.
I realised how much of a dike I was being, since I failed the test and how it was starting to rub off on her. I took her up town, bought her a bottle of her favorite rosey red wine, while she was at the toilet I purchased a bookey from a nearby stall. The look on her face changed my whole day, she was so happy over this little move that it filled me with joy... the rest of the night was great.

So yeah.. from good to crap to awesome.
