The World Eaters Eyrie glitch?

Hi there, not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I have released Odahviing and spoken to him where he gives the option to fly to Skuldafn. At the time my character wasnt very powerful so I declined thinking I would return once I'd levelled up a bit. Now when I return Odahviing isnt in Dragonreach but he is on the cliff top on the outside of Dragonreach's wall. I can speak to him where he gives me the same options but as soon as I say I'm ready to fly to Skuldafn my character seems to freeze. I can move my head, I can enter the save menu and I can use the wait function but I can't move and everything else is buggered. I've even tried to fast travel to other locations which works but then when the game get's going again I still can't move!! I've tried saving and restarting and all those possible fixes but nothing works. My nearest save that I have is about 60 hours prior so restarting for me is not an option....has anyone else encountered this glitch and is there anything to try to fix it????

Several weeks ago I remember someone else reporting exactly this same sequence. You can probably do a keyword search for Ohdaving. Although sometimes sorely tested, I never stopped in the middle of a crucial individual quest because I was afraid something like this would happen. I hope someone has a solution for you (other than the "load an earlier save" drum beat).

Oh, & save more frequently. I ran 2 save files, minimum, & would switch @ the beginning of each gaming session. Despite the somewhat misleading advertising, you must play this game with caution & foresight if it's important to you that you platinum.

I have searched with keywords but to no avail apart from pc users and console commands. Hopefully someone will come up with a fix. I do save frequently and now have autosaves back on but I had a clear out of older saves as I probably had about 50 or so....that will teach me.
