The world

Do you guys want a big world that has many similar places like IV
Or somthing more small scale that has many diffrent areas and diffrent feels.

Im not saying that every place TESIV was the same but it was similar.

I'd rather have a world like Vvardenfell that was broken up into unique areas in terms of culture, appearance, etc.

But since its set in Skyrim, and judging by Oblivion, I think we can predict it's just going to be a generally uniform place.

Considering how long its been in development I think we should be able to be large and detailed.

Oblivion was "small, semi-detailed".
It was small and except for the graphics it was pretty the same thing over and over again in all dungeons.

I want a mix between them. Or both.

Fallout 3 was incredibly detailed, and I don't think it was the size of Cyrodiil. If you look at the map of Tamriel, Skyrim is smaller than Cyrodiil, so it has more potential to be detailed. I would like every area to be unique, instead of the same as Oblivion (kinda) was.

Why can't it be HUGE and LIFE-LIKE detail?

I'd be content with something roughly equal to the Vvardenfell and Solstheim landmasses combined, honestly. Of course since this is Skyrim, I'd like the world itself to be quite expansive looking. I'd love it if the terrain itself were jagged and winding like Morrowind - impassable chasms and the like breaking up the monotony of travel and forcing you now and then to rely upon transportation or side passages.

This. We need more options in that poll. Why set the expectation bar low for the developers? Tell them we want a game that will BLOW US AWAY.

As huge as possible. I don't like when maps are too dense (like Morrowind and Fallout 3 and tons of other games).

When I first played Morrowind, I was amazed at how massive the world was. To somebody that is key on graphics, they would notice that the world almost looks less detailed, but if you have an "imagination" you can look passed that as long as there is actually content out there to explore. To walk around in a random location and hop over mountains and hills just to find caves, towns, etc. The experience of discovery was just great. They have to make the world bigger than oblivion. They can't do MASSIVE > HUGE > MEDIUM > MEDIUM/SMALL

I'd rather sacrifice space for more unique areas. Frozen lakes with Volkihar lurking beneath, high mountain areas, shallow cliff cracks. Overall just very detailed, different areas that easily be told apart.

I want a huge world to explore like Oblivion. Cyrondill was too small for me honestly.

I think Skyrim will be likes this; snow, log cabins, snow and more log cabins. I don't think it's a very diverse place. But I'm sure someone will prove me wrong.

Just Cause 2 had a HUGE map that dworfs Oblivion and had stunning graphics. I think they could do a reasonably large map with plenty of detail.

This should be a given. No one wants to walk through the same place a million times (yet some voted for a big world). I want lots of details and less automatic generation!

I don't care if it is entire provence like Oblivion or minor region like Morrowind, I just want walky room to explore and look at. Probably about 1.5 times the size of Morrowind or maybe even more.

Are those those only two choices? I sure would like a world that is both large and highly detailed.

Don't disappoint me.

Detailed can mean many things.

If you are referring to just texture detail then I have no preference.

If you are talking about detail in the sense of items laying around, monsters roaming, people conversing and dungeons being unique then yes, I would love more of that.

I don't know why there are so many posts that equate to this kind of thinking, "Well if we have this than we can't have this."

I want Bethesda to show me that they can make large fully detailed worlds. And I'm confident that they are going to do just that with this game.

Also, words like "large", "medium", and "detailed" are pretty vague when not given a comparison. Large compared to what? Detailed compared to what?

I want it to go as far as unique landscapes around every corner.
I want to play the game for five years till the next Elder Scrolls game comes out, and still be discovering new locations and things.
