The Worst Lines in Skyrim

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 3:18 pm

"Never should have come here"
"Some might call this junk, me, I call it treasure"

Any more lines that just people wont stop saying?

Well, sounds like every guard in Skyrim got an arrow in the knee.

I've really started to dislike "Got some good pieces out here if you're looking to buy. More inside." since i constantly use the Whiterun forge :pinch: So i do my forging at night, no one seems to mind :hehe:

"Hands where I can see them sneak-thief!"

I am not a 'sneak-thief', and the next bastard to call me that gets a two-handed sword to the face!

"Hands where I can see...."

*Violence ensues*

I'm about ready to kill Lydia the next time I try to give her better armor and she says, "I am SWORN to carry you burdens."

Pretty much all the guards I'm sick of them saying something like: "if you don't follow the rules you have to answer to me" or whatever it is. And the little kid running around saying he's not afraid of me. Pretty much all of Whiterun can jump off a bridge lol.

"Wait...I know you"

All because of a 10g fine. The last guard to say it to me is now swimming in the river outside Whiterun, headless.

"Do you visit the Cloud district often? Oh, what am I saying. Of course you don't" This Redguard would ALWAYS say this, but luckily he isn't around anymore after the Stormcloaks took over Winterhold. Do wish I got to kill him myself though.

And yes, guards should learn the difference between Sneak and Pickpocket. My Sneak is 100, my Pickpocket is < 20 and guards still tell me to keep my hands to myself.
Comments about skills are generally very bad. I hardly use magic at all and any skill gains are all from books and quest rewards (excluding 2 or 3 skill-ups from healing myself) and guards sometimes tell me "So you can cast a few spells? Am I supposed to be impressed?".

Amren in Whiterun asking me "Have you considered mercenary work?" every time I pass him is starting to piss me off. He may have to be the first NPC I kill...as I've already done his quest...

"So I saw some mudcrabs by the water the other day, horrible creatures..."

I kid you not, some Kajit I met said this to me.

All the gaurds are the same... All the followers have the same line that they repeat over and over again.

Lydia every time I heal her "A healing spell? What are you a priest"

Yes its still a healing spell and no I did not become a priest in the last five minutes since I healed you.

What annoys me is that they repeat the SAME LINES with DIFFERENT VOICE ACTORS!! For example, the second quote you mention is made by both male and female sellers. Why on god's earth would you have different voice actors giving the same lines?!? If you're using different voice actors, why not add to the immersion level by giving different characters different lines?!

Haha, I was actually pretty happy she died on one of my quests. Companions get kinda boring after a while.

But I honestly hate the "I guess I heard something" one. It just makes no sense. You have arrows sticking out of you!

Every line from the trader in Whiterun who wants to sell his sister and buy yours. And the worst is "Do come back", cause he knows I will even though I despise him.

Someone said the guards mocking you for being able to cast a few spells, I though it was because I joined the Mages guild without starting any quest and it would evolve along my rank in the guild.
It's the same with the companions, and the "fetching the mead". Doesn't it change when your rank evolve ?

For some reason, she always says this when we leave a cave.
